Light straw-colored, it offers an attractive nose of green apple, lemon-lime, white fruit, banana and melon. Ripe, crisp, and refreshing, this Spanish white wine has quite a long finish and it represents an excellent value.

 No oak.

Vineyards:
ALBADA Macabeo is made with 100% Macabeo grapes coming from very old vines. Most of them are over 50 years old and many of them are up to 100 years thanks to the enormous dedication of the grape growers, generation after generation. This wine has been selected to get profit from the great potential of old vineyards and little production of Macabeo located in the heart of D.O. Calatayud.

Winemaking:
After crushing and destemming the grapes, they were macerated during 10 hours at 11ºC. The following step was the drawing off the must, which fermented in a controlled temperature of 11ºC for 4 weeks. Long maceration on the lees are the perfect way to extract maximum flavors from the macabeo varietal.

Origin of the Name ALBADA:
The word "Albada" has two meanings: one refers to the ancient songs performed by the local vine growers, while the other means dawn. The circular art work of the label was designed by the artist Aitor Tellechea. It is an etching that represents the "Garnacha from Aragon", place of origin of this grape variety which is now spread worldwide. The circle means perfection, well-balanced power; from the beginning to the end. The course of life that begins again every season for our wine, in the vineyard.

This is large for a Rose...structured and focused, with the color of dark ruby. The nose is loaded up with fresh fruit. Strawberry, blackcurrant, and raspberry beam from the glass. On the palate, the mouth-feel is ripe and succulent. It has strength, but maintains its fresh and crisp expression. The finish is filled with Asian spice and slight hints of smoke. Drink this juice now or over the next year or two.

"A rich, supple, downright sexy effort, the 2015 Tavel from Chateau de Segries gives up lots of ripe cherry, framboise and floral notes in its medium-bodied, nicely textured personality. This is a big, rich Rosé that will do best with food. - Jeb Dunnuck"

Es Lo Que Hay Garnacha 2013

ES LO QUE HAY – It´s what there is / It is what it is / That´s how it goes. A common Spanish expression but one I like to reserve for the few old high altitude Garnacha vineyards that survive in Aragon . What you taste in the bottle is a true expression of what there is in the vineyard. It´s as simple as that.

High altitude ancient vineyards at 1000 to 1100 metres above sea level with ´pizarra´ slate and quartzite soils. Completely dry grown and unirrigated this is an inhospitable continental climate with extreme changes of temperature were mountain herbs, almonds, cherry trees and Garnacha form a breathtaking patchwork. Low annual rainfall of 200-300mm and the remarkable soils produce fine and elegant Garnacha which is punctuated by intense black fruit flavors with complex mineral, smoke and ‘garrigue’ notes.

Color: Impenetrable purple
Bouquet: Pronounced aromas of crushed violets and zarzaparrilla (also called Rough Bindweed or Common Smilax). Intense yet refined with lifted, perfumed fruit and wild mountain herbs.
Taste: Full bodied, with rounded tannins, crisp acidity and a long mineral finish.

Alain de la Treille Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Our Touraine Sauvignon blanc is crisp and refreshing, with rich, ripe lime and grapefruit aromas. Great elegance with mineral style and despite everything some kind of roundness.

Average age of the vines is 20 years old.

We produce a part of this cuvee with 12 hours skin maceration and another part from directly pressed grapes

Wine was slightly filtered before bottling to ensure wine will remain stable.

Ideal for the Aperitif , any cooked fish such as smoked and grilled salmon but also obviously with a Goat Cheese.

Albada Garnacha Calatayud 2013

ALBADA Garnacha is a young wine from very-old Grenache vines. Stress on the fruit intensity to express a true Garnacha and the terroir of origin. This is a young and fun yet very complex wine. The wine spent eight months in contact with its own lees in American Oak Barrels.
Intense ruby color with garnet and purple hues. The aromas are intense with a great varietal expression. We have a lot of red and black berries, with some notes of spice, well integrated with vanilla and leather components coming from the barrel aging in American Oak. The wine is structured and has a very nice mouthfeel, but the tannins are soft and the finish is long.
