Annefield White Blend 2013

This complex blend calls to mind fresh flowers, honeysuckle and herbs, and is balanced with a wonderful, fruity, crisp acidity. Bright with tropical flavors like pineapple and mango. This wine is off-dry with a pleasant and casual demeanor. It is, in a word, "fun."

Annefield White Blend  2013 is made from 33% Traminette, 20% Vidal Blanc, 19% Chardonnay, 13% Riesling, 9% Petit Manseng, 6% Viognier

Serve with assertive dishes with Thai or Vietnamese-inspired spices or sip it on the patio or in the hot tub

Traminette, one of the hybrid grapes we grow is stellar in the vineyard. Picked early to avoid any overwhelming aromatics. It is consistent and produces a crisp, light wine.Handling: Hand-picked, chilled, destemmed. Skin: None. Fermentation 100% stainless steel. 10 - 15 years old vines.

Sunset Hills Chardonnay 2016

Notes of meyer lemon and white flower petals carry over to prange blossom and ripe melon.

The late heat in August and September really pushed the Chardonnay to develop into a fruit forward wine. Hand picked, chilled and pressed whole cluster. 10 -20 years old vines.

Sunset Hills Red 2016

Sunset Hills Red is made from 77% Cabernet Franc, 9% Tannat, 8% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon

Notes of brambled blackberry, raspberry, plum, and forest floor. Light in body, leaning on acidity rather than tannins. Youthful and vibrant!

The lighter style that Sunset Red offers widens the scope of the wines here at Sunset Hills Vineyard. Delicate and youthful, the structure of the Sunset Red is carried by its acidity and bright fruit notes, rather than heavy oak or tannins. We want this wine to be enjoyed young—with the fruit notes still bright and vibrant.

Sunset Hills Rose 2016

Crafted from 100% Chambourcin. Heavily fruity, with cherry and raspberry and redcurrant aromatics. Light-bodied, with a refreshing and potent acidity. Just a touch off-dry.

Boxwood Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2017

A pale lemon color reflects an overall citrusy bouquet and flavor profile, captured by bursts of fresh, bright acidity. Lemons and lime zest, as well as passionfruit and pear dance along the mid-palate, accentuated by a creamy and luxurious finish.

Willowcroft Chardonnay Cold Steel 2016

Crisp & clean with wonderful aromatic, bright Chardonnay fruit flavor.

100% Chardonnay grapes.

Harvested from home Vineyards on Sept 6th 2016 (brix 22.4). 

No Malo-Lactic fermentation in order to preserve a good acidity and some freshness.

Fermented and aged for 7 months in Stainless steel tanks.

It was slightly filtered before bottling

Boxwood Estate Rose 2017

An attractive pale salmon color, complex nose of very agreeable aromas predominantly white flowers and white pepper with underlying notes of apricot. The body is medium with a rounded palate of flavors including honeydew and lychees with refreshing acidity that is balanced and lingering. It has a medium long finish leaving an impression of aromatic vivacity.

Boxwood Estate Rose is made from 41% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 12% Malbec, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petit Verdot.

This rosé wine is a blend of one-third whole cluster pressed Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes and two-thirds saignée from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The whole cluster portion was harvested in early September when the grapes were ripe enough to lend good fruit character and bright acidity to the wine without adding too dark a color. The saignée portion developed as the various red grapes were harvested throughout the season from mid-September to mid-October. All grapes were hand harvested in bright sunshine. Juice was clarified, then cool fermented using specific cultured yeasts. It was blended in early January.

Sunset Hills Viognier 2016


Tropical notes of pineapple and apricot on the nose. Crisp lemon lime, pear, and white flower wash over the palate.

The 2016 growing hit a rain right at flowering, diminishing the fruit set of the vines. This may have decreased yield, but on the contrary helps with even and quick ripening. With a hot spell at the end it led to a very fruit forward wine with beautful tropical aromatics. 5 - 15 years old vines.

Willowcroft Merlot 2014

Willowcroft Merlot is made from 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Medium-bodied Merlot with smooth plum & currant notes.

Harvested from Greenstone Vineyards on Sept 29th 2014 (brix 22.1). 
Cold maceration and delestaged (rack-and-return method)
Malo-Lactic fermentation.
Fermented and aged for 12 months in Oak barrels.
It was slightly filtered before bottling.

Niero Cote Rotie Eminence 2013

The wine isa blend of 95% Syrah which gives strenght and structure and 5% Viognier for roundness and aromatic complexity. 
The nose majestically unveils an explosion of delicate aromas of red and black small fruits. The charm goes on through a silky texture, full of integrity and freshness, with fat tannins and a sweet final taste. Wonderful. 

The grapes are coming from a 1.8 hectare (4.50 acres) vineyard. 
The terroirs is made of schist soil on the slopes of "Valliere" and on the terraces of granitic "Coteau de Bassenon".
Vines are 20 years old on average.

Review:

Vivacious and peppery, this delicately framed Côte-Rôtie offers crisp black-cherry and berry flavors accented by savory truffle, leather and spice. Fine, rigid tannins and penetrating black-fruit flavors still need time to integrate. Hold till 2020.- Wine Enthusiast (March 2018), 92 pts
