Crisp lime flavors, white pepper and lentils, followed by a mouthful of mineral notes and gooseberry. A long lingering finish
This vintage claims to be “Classic” purely to set itself apart from the tendancy to promote wines whose aromas have their origin neither in the variety of grape nor in the locality...This Muscadet is developed and vinified to be appreciated young “on the fruit”. It is crystal clear and the color of yellow straw. Lime, grapefruit, white fruits, pear and apple, salty and citrus notes are generously present on the nose.
The mouth is rich, straight, providing a beautiful acid screen; lime and soft notes of the sea provide a good balance and a great freshness in this Muscadet, superb landmarks which stretch to the end....

Thorn Clarke Terra Barossa Shiraz Winemaker's Selection palate is rich and full with spicy plums and creamy oak. The tannins are fine and give the wine great length of flavor and a superb smooth mouthfeel. Pairs well with foods with richness and flavor such as meat based pasta dishes, red meats or hard cheese.
Complex red wine with cherry aromas, great body and structure, pleasant tannins and a long finish.
The Wimmer Estate
The young family owned and run winery is situated in the northern part of Austria known as the Weinviertel, in the wine city of Poysdorf. The wine-growing tradition goes back to 1724.
Their aim is to produce fruity, elegant wines, rich in finesse, that reflect and express the terroir of the Weinviertel area. They take pride in using only the best grapes combined with experience, know-how and dedication.
The Wimmer Vineyard
Deep loess and clayey soil, carefully chosen areas, plenty of sunshine and a sustainable viticulture are the ingredients of their fruity, lively white wines. The vineyards cover an area of about 20 hectares. They further work with carefully selected vintners who produce another 15 hectares of grapes for them.
Notes of cherry, plum, and strawberry lead into aromas of jasmine and tangerine. On the palate, this pinot noir has a medium full body that mingles with spicy cherry. A long silky finish with a hint of french oak in the back plays in to its lush flavors, bright acidity and fine, perfectly balanced tannins.
Alain Jaume Ventoux Les Gelinottes is made from 50% Grenache and 50% Syrah
The colour is intense, purple-tinged garnet. The aromatic range of the nose goes from fresh berries to black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry). The palate is full-flavoured, with very soft tannins and aromas of the fruit already mentioned. This is a gorgeous style of wine, fruity driven, for every day drinking...anytime !
"Vivid ruby-red. Red berries and white pepper on the lively nose and in the mouth. Tangy and light on its feet, displaying good finishing clarity. Silky tannins sneak in late and add gentle closing grip. - Josh Raynolds"

Luis Canas Reserva Seleccion de la Familia Rioja is made from 85% Tempranillo and 15% Graciano
45 years old vines
Total acidity: 5,73 g./l.
Volatile acidity: 0,73 g./l.
Free SO2: 28 mg./l.
Reducing sugars: 1,3 g./l.
The wines intended for the Reserva de la Familia come from a selection of old vines which meet a number of features such as a good location, good sun exposure and barely fertile soil which ensures a low yield.
Red cherry high notes. Clean nose, with good intensity. Memories of ripe fruit, preserve (jam) on a background of fine wood, with a marked balsamic (eucalyptus, pine) character. Powerful on the palate, dense, structured, with good tannins. The finish is broad, complex, long and persistent.
This wine's versatility allows us to savour its personality and character with classics such as roast lamb or pork and gamey stews. But it also blends masterfully with mushrooms, truffles, black chocolate, nuts, cream-based or spicy dishes etc.
This particular wine and vintage (2008) was elected "Regional Trophy winner" at the World Wine Award 2014 by the Decanter Magazine. Here are the tasting notes from this review: "A bright, modern nose of blackcurrant and morello cherry, elegant new oak, mineral notes and lovely floral purity. Ripe and fresh palate with firm but suave tannins and a savory character overlaid with powerful smoky aromatics of roasted oak and licorice. Impressive and resounding on the finish."
"Red Firm and focused, this solid red delivers black cherry, tobacco and cola flavors over firm tannins, with balsamic acidity and a spicy finish. Not a showy wine, but fresh and harmonious. Drink now through 2022.—T.M."

"Opaque ruby. Ripe dark berries, vanilla and candied flowers on the pungent nose, with a minerally quality adding lift. Spicy and expansive on the palate, offering intense cherry and raspberry liqueur flavors and a hint of mocha. Becomes deeper and more broad with air and finishes with velvety tannins and a repeating floral pastille note that lingers with strong tenacity.- Josh Raynolds"

"Smoky bacon and barbecued meat aromas are quite prominent in the 2009 Reserva Selección de la Familia. It is slightly more modern and oaky than the regular Reserva offering a sinewy palate where I found a ton of grainy tannins that would require time in bottle and/or powerful food, as the fruit might dry out before the tannins get balanced. Only time will tell. - Luis Gutierrez"

Extremely aromatic and beautiful with currants, raspberries, and plums. Hints of flowers too. Full body, firm and silky tannins, and a fresh and bright finish. Made from old vines of 85% tempranillo and 15% other varieties. Drink or hold. (17-Jul-2015) James Suckling 91 Points
"Smoky, toasty oak aromas are dominant on a black-fruit bouquet that also shows graphite. This is saturated and tight, with complexity and outright deliciousness of savory, meaty, spicy blackberry flavors. Toast, cured beef and cocoa flavors prove that there's more to this than just heft and oak. Best from 2019 through 2032."

"Sheltered by the steep and craggy Cantabrian Mountains of Spain, to the northwest we find the hot, arid region of Rioja, home to some of the best and most historically significant wineries in Spain. Sitting on the Northern banks of the Ebro River, Luis Cañas calls the calcareous soils of Rioja Alavesa home. The region although best known for carbonically macerated vino Joven Tempranillo, has become a region for quality and intriguing Reserva and Gran Reserva wines as well.
The 2009 Luis Cañas Reserva Selección de la Familia is harvested from 45 year-old vines and is composed of the region’s most planted varietal, Tempranillo and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. With a little bit of age these wines begin to evolve with many of the secondary flavors complementing the drying sweet and sour fruit. This wine shows notes of raspberry jam, sweet and sour red cherries, dried black fruits, green tobacco, and balsamic. A mix of new French and American oak lends itself to the wine by softening the fruit and adding notes of vanilla, dill, and coconut oil. This wine is best paired with local cuisine such as braised and grilled meats and stronger, richer cave-aged goat cheeses."

\r\n The latest step in the project is Valsacro Dioro. The earlier Valsacros were made from a field selection of the older vineyards. Now, thanks to the new facility Amador has been able to build an upmarket version of Valsacro with a four-stage selection process that includes an initial field selection of the fruit followed by a second table selection as the grapes come into the winery. After fermentation wine from selected tanks is transferred to new French oak barrels for 12-14 months of barrel age. Finally, the best barrels are set aside for Dioro and the remainder used to "upgrade" the normal Valsacro.
\r\n "(aged in new French oak): Glass-staining ruby. Extremely perfumed, oak-accented nose displays cherry-vanilla and blackberry preserves, with a sexy floral note and building spiciness. Full-bodied and velvety, offering palate-coating flavors of macerated cherry, dark berries and vanilla bean. Finishes very long and sweet, with persistent spiciness and a hint of smoke. An extremely attractive and balanced example of the modern style."

\r\n "The 2005 Dioro was produced from a stricter selection and was aged in new French oak for 12-14 months. A saturated purple color, it displays a brooding bouquet of wood smoke, pencil lead, espresso, truffle, and blackberry. Dense and loaded on the palate, it has gobs of ripe black fruit, excellent balance, and a lengthy, pure finish. It will continue to blossom over the next 3-4 years and have a drinking window extending from 2014 to 2025."

Barrel fermented in mixed age French oak producing a medium clear lemon color. This wine has a luminescent, straw color with a subtle sheen. Meyer lemon, white nectarine, baking spice, and salt water taffy on the nose. The palette offers up warm oak spice, sandalwood, and stone fruit.
With a lemon-butter-cream texture, this wine is lush yet still very bright and fresh. Lively acidity, with a custard type of roundness/richness, and the warm oak spice follows through on the pallet. Delicious balance between richness and freshness.
