Insolia (sometimes spelled Inzolia) is and Italian white grape variety from Tuscany, where it is known as Ansonica, or Sicily. Insolia was mostly used as a blending component in Marsala wines, but is now grown to produce the single variety white wine. Insolia wines will have relatively high tannin structure when compared to other white wines. Insolia gives citrus and herbal tones as well as provide temperate aroma and weight with slightly nutty notes. Insolia wines are effortless, clean, and dry with good quality.

Review:
Takes a very fresh approach, with an open-knit feel to the mulled raspberry and red currant fruit. Pretty lilac, incense and singed apple wood notes underscore the fruit, while silky but persistent tannins carry the finish. Shows latent depth and precise balance, so don't let this early charm fool you, as this should unfurl beautifully in the cellar. Best from 2022 through 2040. 10,000 cases made.
