Max Hernandez is a descendant of a winemaking family in Spain. His father used to produce wine in the area of Toro ODC. So, for Max this business represents a return to his roots after great achievements in the fashion world. Silvia, his wife, born from a famous family of Spanish actors, has the sensory talent and the theorical and practical know-how to create the Pinino wines together with the well-known oenologist Dr. Paolo Vagaggini.
The winery is located to the north of Montalcino, embedded like a natural amphitheater into the beautiful hillside of Montosoli. This unique geography has made the region a favorite destination for the wealthy of Montalcino in the 18th century.
The vineyards spread over 16.5 hectares (41 acres) planted to 100% Sangiovese.
4 hectares are located on the Pinino estate with a southern exposure and galestro soil. The remaining land is located on the Canchi estate with a southeastern exposure and soils consisting of a mix of clay and limestone.
The requirements for the vinification of Pinino wines is based on the primary product - the grapes. Pinino's philosophy is to achieve high quality through reduction of the harvest per grape vine by clipping shoots and grape selection. The grapes are picked by hand and transported only in small crates to avoid squashing. In the cellar, traditional methods are supported with modern technology and the use of new fermentation tanks.

Sokol Blosser Big Tree Block Pinot Noir is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir.
1970 was winding down when our founders, Bill Blosser and Susan Sokol Blosser pulled their ’68 VW Camper up to an abandoned prune orchard some 30 miles southwest of Portland. These moonstruck kids had little farming experience and just a basic knowledge of winemaking. What they did have, in abundance, was a passion for growing the Pinot Noir grape and creating world-class wine. Soon after settling on this extraordinary land, they planted their first vines and cinched their place as pioneers in Oregon’s budding wine industry.
Review:
A very impressive wine for the striking sense of spice, white-pepper and briary, forest notes, across red cherries. The palate has sapid, focused style with such taut yet silky tannins holding long and true. Pure red cherries here. Drink or hold.

Le Jade Viognier is made from 100 percent Viognier
The wine comes from sun-drenched vineyards planted on the best terroir - specially selected for its physical and geographical characteristics - on clay and limestone hillsides called "costières" (coastal region). The vineyards are only a few miles away from the Etang de Thau, a coastal lagoon that is situated between the port of Sète and Marseillan.
The color is a wonderful brilliant yellow with pearl tints. Intense and seductive aromas of ripe fruits, especially apricot, and floral notes with a hint of rose petals. The texture is very harmonious, generous, round and long. The finish is long and balanced with a good freshness.
Perfect as an aperitif, or great with richer dishes like langoustines, smoked or marinated salmon. Great too with guinea fowl in creamy or curry sauce. Serve it also with a broccoli and Roquefort soup or for dessert with a mango and pineapple tarte Tatin. An extremely versatile wine!
