Bairrada is a wine region located in the central coastal area of Portugal, known for producing some of the country's finest red and white wines. The region is located between the cities of Coimbra and Aveiro and is characterized by a cool, maritime climate, with moderate rainfall and high humidity.
In Bairrada, the most widely grown red grape variety is Baga, which produces full-bodied, tannic, and complex wines with high acidity, dark fruit flavors, and a long finish. In addition to Baga, other red grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, and Tinta Roriz are also grown in the region.
For white wines, the most widely grown grape varieties are Maria Gomes and Bical, which produce fresh and aromatic wines with floral and citrus notes.
Bairrada is also known for its sparkling wines, made using the traditional method and typically produced from the Bical and Arinto grape varieties.

Rubus wines are fruit driven, true-to-type values that over deliver - a true representation of quality for the consumer at an excellent price.
Deep red with a slight purple hue on release. The wine has a rich mix of dark chocolate infused with coffee bean and black liquorice, then scents of tar, aniseed, raw (pure) soy and black olive on the nose. The palate is expansive, and yet balanced and finessed. An amalgam of dark berried flavors and textural sensations. The 100% new oak is completely absorbed, meshed with ripe tannins, completing a palate of impressive length and youthfulness.
Sourced from Thorn-Clarke’s St Kitts vineyard (Block 7) in the far north of the Barossa, the Rubus Reserve demonstrates both the strengths of the region and the unique characters of the vineyard.
A thin layer of topsoil over weathered marble, schist and shale mean the vines work hard to source water and nutrients. The result is naturally low yields concentrating the power and density of the fruit. Diurnal temperature variation is another important aspect of St. Kitts. Warm daytime temperatures are followed by cool nights with variations of up to 30°C (55°F) from the peak during the day into the cool night minimums.

Double Diamond Oakville Proprietary Red is made from 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc.
The 2022 Proprietary Red Wine maintains the exceptional quality and prestige synonymous with winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown and the Double Diamond portfolio. A Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, it is ready to drink upon release but will cellar well for years to come.
This wine is fragrant with mixed berry compote, crushed ivy, iron, and vanilla bean. Full in body and generously concentrated with notes of ripe black fruits, spice, dark chocolate, and espresso framed with silky tannins, food-friendly acidity, and a lingering finish.
