Torrontes is a white wine grape variety from Argentina that includes three varieties. The most widely planted is Torrontés Riojano, which has been noted for creating superb wines. This variation is used mainly for Argentine wines with the name Torrontes. The Torrontés Sanjuanino variation generates large bundles of pale grapes, while the Torrontes Mendocino produces small bunches of grapes that are darker in color. A red wine grape variety called Torrontes is also available, but it goes under the name of Tarrantes and Turrundos. The grape variety produces nice and crisp wines that are acidic, aromatic and include a nice velvety texture. Torrontes wine includes fresh peach and apricot fruit flavors, and is ideal for early drinking. These wines tend to have quiet spice aromas and floral scents. The quality and taste of the wine depends on the winemaking process and the outcome is mainly due to the skill of the maker. The taste of Torrontes wines is said to be similar to Muscat, however, some wine experts assert that the taste also closely resembles Gewurztraminer. The wine should be consumed a year after it is created because the wine typically does not age well.

Finca las Divas Torrontes Reserve Cafayate is 100% Torrontes.
Named in honor of different divas because of the detailed attention to each varietal and plot, consequence of the terroir, origin of the Andes slopes.
Intense and bright yellow with gold hues. On the nose it offers delicate aromas, floral notes, orange peel and subtle hints of vanilla resulting from it aging on oak. On the palate it is a wine with character, with exotic and intense flavors, good acidity, with good structure and weight; fresh and balanced with a long persistence.
Pairs with fish, seafood, risotto, pasta, sushi, lamb and hard cheeses.

"The only wine in the Riglos range that doesn’t come from Gualtallary, this is a foudre fermented and aged Torrontés from Salta that’s made in the north of Argentina. Elderflower, tangerine and passion fruit flavours combine appealingly on the palate here, supported by fresh acidity and a touch of wood spices. 2025-27."

Estate Torrontes is from Chakana's Gualtallary vineyard (5,300 ft elevation).
The wine shows the typical aromas of Torrontes (white flowers, lychee, peach) balanced by a refreshing acidity. Mineral texture due do the rocky soil of the vineyard. Elegant, dry and clean finish.

Deep, orange color.
Complex nose, notes of white flowers, peaches, evolution and skins aromas. Nice texture, good structure, final minerality, perfectly balanced by good freshness.

Beatus began with a dream and a friendship. Our dream was to make wine in Châteauneuf du Pape, one of the first regions to inspire the desire to pursue winemaking in general, and of working with Grenache in particular.
We developed a long-standing friendship with Anne-Charlotte Melia-Bachas, Proprietor of Chateau de la Font du Loup, who approached us with the idea to craft a wine together a number of years ago.
This has all come to fruition with Beatus, a wine that we have decided to make ongoing, every year — since tasting the exciting results of the first vintage in barrel.
The vineyard parcel selected for this wine is a single plot of 80-year old Grenache at the top of La Crau in Châteauneuf du Pape, the highest location in the AOC. It sits on a north-facing slope that helps guard against the sometimes intense summer heat that can affect the surrounding areas.
This plot is called “Le Poteau” and has been generously granted to us by Anne-Charlotte as the core of this wine, with supplementation of Syrah and Mourvèdre from surrounding parcels also grown on the Chateau de la Font du Loup estate, to round out the blend.
The winemaking is directed by myself and carried out by Anne-Charlotte, Stéphane Dupuy d’Angeac and their team. It is our hope to bring you one of the finest expressions of Grenache from this special region each and every vintage.
Yields from this block are very small due to the age of the vines, therefore only up to 100 cases of Beatus will be produced each year, depending on the conditions of the vintage.

Review:
Made in collaboration with Chateau de la Font Du Loup, the 2020 Beatus is an extraordinary bottling that rivals some of the top wines of this region. The nose is hugely perfumed with red rose petals, potpourri, sage and shades of red currants. The palate displays the same level of concentration as it does on the bouquet. Beautiful guava and ripe strawberry fruits parade with copious minerals and a sinfully good texture on the palate. Fresh and vibrant, this is just sensational stuff to enjoy in its heady youth.

Fefinanes Albarino de 1583 Albarino is made from 100% Albarino.
Aged for 5 months in oak barrels (a combination of fine-grained American and French Allier barrels).
1583 is the birth date of the Viscount of Fefinanes, Gonzalo Sarmiento Valladares, builder of the Castle of Fefinanes, in Cambados.
They wanted to pay tribute to their ancestor with this wine that managed to reach a perfect harmony between the fruitiness of the Albarino grape and the complexity brought by the oak aging.
Lovely straw yellow color, clean and bright. The nose is reminiscent of ripe crystallized fruit and spices. The palate is elegant, round and well balanced, with a silky texture.
Excellent with shellfish, grilled or stewed fish, white meats, poultry.
