Growing up, Rodney's father farmed grapes, cherries and kiwi which inspired the entreprenurial spirit of the third-generation Lodi grower to one day farm his own way. In 1985, he and his wife, Gayla, bought 40 acres of Old Vine Zinfandel-the same land where the winery sits today. The first plot was on Peltier Road, just north of Lodi. Instead of naming the Winery after themselves, they honored the road that led them to those gnarly vines and would eventually become the winery’s foundation.
Rod Spent 15 years building his reputation for quality grapes while growing his custom harvest business. A year with a surplus of grapes brought on the idea to build a custom crush facility, and a Best of Class award at the California State Fair for a 2005 Petite Sirah began the bottle side of their business. Today, they farm over 1,000 acres of Estate Grown, Certified Sustainable grapes with a focus on growing for quality.
Today, they own multiple vineyards:
Alpine/Realty: 162 acres | Dustin: 47 | De Vries: 122 acres | Marengo: 66 acres | Kennefick: 24 acres | Lockeford: 251 | Coyote Creek: 180 acres | Hade Ranch: 140 acres
And they grow a wide variety of grapes:
Chardonnay: 154 acres | Pinot Grigio: 43 | Sauvignon Blanc: 89 acres | Chenin Blanc: 13 acres | Viognier: 20 acres | Vermentino: 20 | Pinot Noir: 98 acres | Syrah: 54 acres | Petite Sirah: 55 acres | Zinfandel: 132 acres | Cabernet Sauvignon: 149 acres | Teroldego: 32 acres

Cattail Creek Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir.
The cool maritime influence of the Sonoma Coast appellation is on full display in this elegant Pinot Noir. Aromas of fresh cherry, raspberry, and violet give way to a silky, medium-bodied palate with layers of red fruit, subtle earthy notes, and gentle spice. The wine's bright natural acidity and fine-grained tannins create a beautifully balanced structure, making it a versatile companion at the table. Enjoy now or cellar for 3-5 years.
Figgins Estate Red Wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot & Merlot
Dark to the rim, with signature aromatic notes of ripe red and blue fruits, tanned leather, black olive, and lilac. The nose simply brings a smile. On the palate, if I had to describe the wine in one word it would be precision. The way the sweet fruit and dramatic length are braced by lively acidity and tannins aligns so perfectly that the wine is, quite simply, delicious.
Review:
Inviting aromas of vivid red fruit, fresh herbs and paprika. Full-bodied with juicy, fruit-soaked, fine tannins. Delightful. So much happening here. The fruit is plentiful and full of charming spice and herbal complexity. Very well balanced and long. Fresh. A blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and petit verdot. Best after 2024 but attractive now.

Aiurri Rioja is made from 80% Tempranillo, 15% Grenache, 5% Graciano.
Chalky, mineral and pure, with blood orange and blackberry fruit and scented oak. "Aroma: Complex and intense, where black fruits accompany spicy notes, highlighting black pepper and licorice. In the background, the notes of aging appear, with tones of dry tobacco and leaf litter. Taste: Powerful wine with good structure, but at the same time with notable freshness. It generates very pleasant and elegant tactile sensations. It is a wine where balance, concentration and sensations of fullness prevail. Color: Deep cherry color with a high layer."
Review:
Very well-made, a harmonious melange of fresh, plummy fruit with fine spices, warm bread and minerals. High-grade oak adds a bit of warmth. Medium- to full-bodied with firm tannins. Structured yet long. The wood tannins will integrate in two more years. Drinkable now but better from 2027.
