Because of its prolonged vegetation period, Riesling (frequently referred to as the “queen of white varieties”) is often capable of expressing the characteristics of its terroir like no other.

The Weingut Matheus Estate
Weingut Matheus is located in Piesport on the Mosel and has a 400 year tradition of winemaking (8 generations). Since 1992, the estate has been managed by Petra Hain-Matheus and Jorg Matheus, a graduate of the school in Geisenheim. Total estate production is 35,000 bottles or 2,916 cases annually, but they could produce more (50,000 bottles).

SonVida Malbec is made from 95% Malbec and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon
SonVida Malbec is a single vineyard wine, the supreme expression of the award-winning zone of Altamira, in Argentina's Uco Valley. Altamira's smooth tannins shine through, and the combination of acidity and minerality lead the wine to a long, integrated finish.
"The wine is proud to be ripe and generous. Aromas dominated by smokey mulberry and blueberry. It's plush and coats the palate with bramble, blueberry and liquorice and the scent of vanilla. SonVida Malbec can be enjoyed on its own, and matches perfectly with meats, chicken, turkey and hard cheeses. It is enjoyed best in good company. ‘Would you like another glass?’ The answer, almost always, is ‘yes’.
Flanagan Beauty of Three Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot.
The nose has beautiful floral notes of Cherry Blossom and Almond Blossom intertwined with more savory coffee notes. The palate has Red Currant, Black Plum, and an elegant cigar box note. The wine is very polished and tight. It drinks like a young Pauillac. This is a balanced wine with great purity. I encourage you to taste this blind with any California Cabernet or Left Bank Bordeaux near this price point.
