Domaine Odoul-Coquard was founded in the early 20th century and remains family owned and operated. Sebastein Odoul, fourth generation, gained in-depth experience in winemaking by working at Domaine Dujac, Mommessin, and Domaine Denis Mortet. In 2004, he returned to the family winery to join his parents, Sylvette and Thierry. As of 2009, he took over as winemaker of the domaine.
Situated in Morey-St.-Denis, in the prestigious Cote de Nuits region of Burgundy. From Gevrey-Chambertin to Nuits-St.-Georges, the Odouls own 9 hectares of vineyards in 21 different appellations throughout the Cote de Nuits. Most notably, they own the majority of the lieu-dit vineyard of Las Crais Gillon in Morey-Saint-Denis. All of their farming is done with lutte raisonée asustainable viticulture practice. The family follows traditional Burgundian winemaking practices, while showing optimal respect to vintage. All grapes are hand harvested, sorted, and destemmed.
The winery ages their wines in barrel for an average of 15 months with the Bourgogne seeing no new wood, while Premier Crus will sees up to 50% new wood, and Grand Crus, 50% and 90% new wood. The domaine uses Francois Frères barrels, with a few testers from other coopers. Domaine Odoul-Coquard has continued to evolve and pursue the highest level of quality, while also maintaining tradition

Far Niente Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6.5% Merlot, 2.5% Malbec, 2.5% Petit Verdot, 0.5% Cabernet Franc.
Beautiful aromas of dark plum, red cherry, licorice and warm baking spices open onto a plush and silky palate layered with plum, spiced cherry and cassis. A classic Napa Valley Cabernet, fine-grained tannins and lively acidity support the wine throughout, while the finish is refined and polished.
Review:
Very precisely polished and focused wine with aromas of black cherries, blue berries and violets followed by green bell pepper, black ink and gravel. Underlying umami notes, too. Full-bodied, firm yet finely grained juicy tannins with bright acidity that balances out the palate. Beautifully integrated toasty notes and baking spices on the mid-palate and in the finish. Flourishing and artful wine that will age gracefully.

Cap Cette Picpoul de Pinet is made from 100 percent Picpoul de Pinet
A very popular, traditional local variety planted on sun-drenched hillsides called "costières" (coastal region) in the Mediterranean garrigue, near the Etang de Thau - a coastal lagoon situated between the port of Sète and Marseillan.
The color is a superb pale yellow with bright hues. The nose is elegant, with aromas of fresh fruit and citrus fruit especially grapefruit. Well-balanced with typical focusing and zesty acidity. A pure expression of the grape varietal, the wine shows how good Picpoul can be when grown on its favorite terroir.
It will complement a vast array of dishes such as Asian cuisine, sushi, spicy fare and all sorts of seafood and grilled fish. Enjoy!
