The Commandery of Peyrassol was founded in the 13th century by the Order of the Templars. Located on the foothills of the Massif des Maures, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Verdon, the property comprises nearly 850 hectares of oak trees, olive trees and garrigue which protect at their heart the centuries-old vineyard of great reputation, Château Peyrassol.
Owned by Philippe Austruy since 2001, the vineyard produces sublime Côtes de Provence AOP wines. The estate houses its owner's exceptional collection of contemporary art. La Commanderie de Peyrassol also welcomes visitors for a gourmet meal, a day of discovery, or a Provençal getaway. Weddings and seminars are also held there throughout the year.
Welcome to the Commandery of Peyrassol!
Its rosy appearance is delicate in color and an expressive nose lends charm to this blend. A palate dominated by wild berries: gooseberry and raspberry that reveal themselves in a crisp, silky mouthfeel enhanced with a touch of minerality.
Saumaize-Michelin Macon Vergisson Cru Sur La Roche is made from 100 percent Chardonnay.
Harmonious, fresh and clean aromas of fresh apple, lemon, orange blossom, white flower. Pure, crisp, silky and fine texture. Ripe fruit flavors and good acidity.
Clear, golden straw, with a slight greenish tinge. The nose is intense with yellow apple, Calamansi lime, apricot, quince, white flowers, flinty minerals, and brioche. The palate is light and quaffable.
