Nagano is situated in the center of Japan, surround by tall mountains. The region is filled with natural hot springs. Nagano has dry climate. Precipitation and humidity are relatively low in the region. Nagano takes pride in its clean air and clear skies. Among other things, the region is famous for production of delicious sake. There are about 85 sake breweries in Nagano. Some breweries are smaller than others. Sake production is often made from Nagano’s particular rice, the Miyama Nishiki. Since 1978, Miyama Nishiki has been the third most popular sake making rice throughout Japan. Mountainous landscape of Nagano has made Miyama Nikishi possible to grow.
Some of the most popular sake breweries you can find in Nagano region are Chikumanishiki, Hokko, Masuichi, Masumi and Shuho Kikuzakari among others. Most sake in Nagano is characterized by sweet flavors that are great match for salty foods.

Cazaux Vacqueyras Blanc Vieilles Vignes 50% Clairette, 30% Roussanne and 20% Viognier
The wine has a beautiful golden color.
The aromas are rich and
exotic with mango, almonds, toast, lemon, pineapple white flowers and
papaye. These aromas will develop to honey, butter and pear after ageing
for a few years.
The finish is long, citrusy and toasty.
Terroir: Slopes of sandy soil or grey limestone.
Yield: 25 -30 hl/ha
Age of the vines: 70 years old minimum. The oldest are around 90 years old.
The
grapes are pressed pneumatically after a few hours contact with the
skins.The must is kept at 20°c during the alcoholic fermentation to
optimise the aromas and respect the wine’s suppleness.
Barrel fermented an aged in 228-liter French Oak barrel for 12 months with regular stirrings of the lees.
MaloLactic Fermentation also in barrel.

Soft around the edges and firm in the middle, this red- and black-fruited wine has a creaminess on the palate, delivering a mix of red cherries, blackberries and blueberries wrapped in moderate tannins. Contains small amounts of petit verdot, cabernet franc, malbec and merlot.
