Rioja is a wine region located in Spain. There are three principal wine regions in Rioja, Rioja Alavesa, Rioja Alta, and Rioja Baja, each producing unique wines. The majority of the territory is a protected designation. Rioja is located just south of the Cantabrian Mountains and runs along the Ebro River. Rioja is home to the Oja River and is situated on a plateau that sits 1,500 feet above sea level.
The soil in Roja is clay based and has a high concentration of iron and chalk with a significant concentration of sandstone, limestone, and alluvial silt.
Wines produced in Rioja are a blend of a variety of grapes and can be either be white, red or rosé. The region has 57,000 hectares that produce 250 million liters of wine every year. 85% of that is red wine. The harvest time in Rioja is September to October with Rioja Alta harvesting the latest in late October.
Rioja enjoys a continental climate with cold winters, and warm summers. The higher elevations have a cooler climate. The mountains isolate the region, which has a moderate effect on the climate. Although gusty winds are common in northern Spain, the vineyards are protected by the same mountain range.

Palacio del Burgo Rioja Blanco is made from 100% Viura.
The wine shows a brilliant pale yellow color. The nose is elegant and very fruity, with straw and pineapple notes. The taste is intense, being extremely fruity with fresh balanced acidity.
Palacio del Burgo White Wine has been created to accompany all kinds of meals and be the perfect glass of wine to illuminate those memorable low light encounters. This wine is the product of the winemaker's efforts to highlight the fruit. The structure and mouth feel of the wine compliment and balance the fruit.
Enjoy it with white fish dishes and seafood.
Palacio del Burgo Rioja Reserva is made from 85% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha & 5% Carignan.

Palacio del Burgo Tinto is made from 100% Tempranillo.
This wine is made of 100% Tempranillo from 15-25 year old vineyards in the Rihuelo area between the town of Alfaro and the slopes of Monte Yerga.
The wine shows a deep cherry red color with violet tones. Intense fruity nose of blackberry and licorice over sweet mocha aromas. Vibrant with smooth tannins; long-lasting, powerful and smooth. An incredible Rioja value.

The 2019 Trueman Cabernet Sauvignon possesses aromas of mulberry, Asian spices, tapenade, espresso beans and rose petals. The flavours evolve on the palate, with notes of bittersweet chocolate framed by vibrant acidity that gives way to a luxurious mid-palate and persistent finish.

Dark as night, packed with concentrated aromas of menthol, bay leaf, tobacco, cedar, vanilla and cassis, the 2019 Trueman Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich, powerful Cabernet with notable herbal overtones. Full-bodied, ripe and velvety in texture, it finishes with hints of dark chocolate and scorched coffee. Long and structured, with dusty tannins on the finish, it should age well for at least 10–15 years.

Swanky oak adds top-note aromas of cedar and spice to the redcurrants and blueberries on offer here, as well as some dark-stone notes. The palate has such convincing structure with powerful fruit-tannin drive carrying deep, saturated blueberry and plum flavors long. The wood will bed down in time. Try from 2025.

Boeira Douro Red is made from 35% Touriga Nacional, 35% Tinta Roriz and 30% Touriga Franca.
Deep ruby color with purple hints. Aromas of red and black fruits, toasty notes and dark chocolate. Smooth on the palate with good structure and excellent mouthfeel. Fresh, with well integrated tannins bringing elegance and a gastronomic profile to the wine. Very well balanced. Boeira Douro DOC Red from the Douro Valley is the result of a careful blend of different varieties from the Douro. After fermentation the wine was left in contact with its lees until bottling in order to develop complexity and richness.
Pair with pork roast stuffed with prunes and apricots, grilled meats, marinated leg of lamb, chicken curry, pasta with beef or pork ragout, vegetable timbale with roasted tomatoes and grilled almonds. A very “friendly” food wine.
