Touriga Nacional is considered to be Portugal’s best red wine grape variety and is used to blend with ports or table wine. The grape variety produces small grapes with low yields and includes high tannins. In the Douro region, Touriga Nacional vines are grown in hot climates and in steep vineyards with a lot of rocks. The variety tends to require strict pruning and training in order to produce quality wines. The yields produced by this variety are the lowest of any grape variety cultivated for commercial use. Scientists have been trying to clone the variety in order to create vines that produce higher yields and higher sugar levels. The blue-black skinned grapes generate tiny bunches of the fruit, which are used to blend with red wines produced in the Duoro and Dao regions. Typically, the most expensive and high quality wines in the region contain Touriga Nacional. The skin to pulp ratio of the variety allows for a larger amount of extract and creates a strong and aromatic wine. Touriga Nacional variety wines tend to have strong fruit flavors, with floral and tea notes. The aromas of the wine sometimes include dark chocolate, berries, and violet and can be paired with rich meats and cheeses.

Dark fruit with hints of blackberry cobbler, graphite, and sandalwood. Mostly grown on warmer sites of the Walla Walla Valley including our estate, Bob Healy Vineyard. Beautiful tannins that are lush and have a strong core that broadens out last minute to an ultra-long finish. A really pleasing and luxurious wine.
Review:
Ripe blue and blackberry notes with floral quality, minty cherries and elegant oak spices undertones. Chocolatey texture on the palate, dense and concentrated, rounded. Dense core of dark plummy fruit supported by a refreshing acidity.

Saumaize-Michelin Pouilly-Fuisse “Clos sur la Roche” is made from 100 percent Chardonnay.
Produced from the oldest parcel of the estate dating back from 1979 and planted on the slopes of the Vergisson Rock, "Clos sur la Roche" benefits from a south sun exposure. This beautiful Chardonnay offers abundant floral and white fruit aromas, toasty and buttery notes and brioche scents. Well-balanced and concentrated on the palate with a rich structure and refreshing notes of zesty lemon and mineral purity that brings a vibrant energy to the finish.
Complex aromas of soft citrus fruits and minerals. Densely packed and fresh, with intense, complex flavors of white fruit as well as a hint of spice. The finish is very firm, long but not dry.
