Winery Philosophy: "It was my desire to create a brand that is eye-candy for the Francophile—it looks like an old bottle of Burgundy, yet it is domestic and affordable. The concept of the label tells the buyer what to expect from the wine. I wanted a wine that was low alcohol, and light-medium bodied, without lacking flavor—a wine that is more suited to those who appreciate elegance and finesse." - Robert Morrison
"Voix de la Vigne started as a natural next step for me in the wine business. In addition to my distribution company in California, I sell wine nationally for Laurent Montalieu (founding winemaker at Willakensie Estate).
Laurent, in a very short amount of time, has grown to be among the largest growers of Pinot Noir in the Willamette Valley. He farms over 700 acres of vines, including the venerable Hyland Vineyard which he owns himself and is bio-dynamically farmed.
In California, I have been distributing Laurent’s three brands since 2009. Based on my close working relationship with Laurent and his team, we decided to collaborate on a new Pinot Noir for the National market."

Young and present, this is an energetic and bold expression of violets, lavender, and cassis mixed with dark chocolate, cherry, plum, and graphite. A wine happy to be tucked away in the cellar, and it’s also expressing itself beautifully now.
Review:
Lovely fragrant blackberry and black cherry fruit, cassis, and rich tobacco spices with lovely fresh earth notes and a sweet kiss of new wood cedar. Incredibly concentrated dark berry fruit with fabulously angular tannins with smooth long beams with crisp edges. Purple florals, dried sagebrush, and chocolate shavings with lids of graphite and deep iron-like mineral character. And a finish of dark saturated fruit that goes and goes for days. There are purple floras too. Polished and bright, with vivacious acidity and freshness evident from the sip to the finish. Wow, this wine.

Ptit Paysan Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petite Verdot, 3% Cabernet Pfeffer.
Oak: 11 months on lees in neutral barrels
The Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from a vineyard at the foot of the Santa Cruz Mountains west of Morgan Hill, which grows in a mix of granitic and volcanic soils, and a 25-year-old vineyard east of Gilroy, which grows in deep, extremely sandy soils against the foothills of the Diablo Range. The Petite Verdot is sourced from the Paicines AVA and grows in rocky alluvial deposits above the Tres Piños Arroyo. All three vineyards experience the warm days and cold nights typical of the Central Coast, allowing these late ripening Bordeaux varieties to be picked at high acidity and moderate sugars.
Le P'tit Paysan offers intense blackberry, dark cherry aromas, chocolate, herbaceous and toasty notes on the palate. Medium-bodied, well-balanced with moderate and integrated tannins that give structure and liveliness to the wine.
Pairs well with steak, duck, game, hearty stews, ribs, and dark, rich sauces.
