The winery Domaine de Bellene was established in 2005 at the behest of several winegrowers, who wanted to lease some of their vines. This new vineyard was created with a desire to control the entire production process, from the soil cultivation to the bottle sales. Our estate is set in very old and historical buildings bought in 2006, and located at street Faubourg Saint Nicolas in Beaune. It took us some time to restore the buildings dedicated to production in accordance with the "High Environmental Quality" standard and to extend our vineyards holding. Also, we invested in high-performance winemaking equipment that respects the integrity of the grapes such as a stainless steel thermo regulated winery, a non-crushing de-stemmer, a vibrating sorting table, a sorting belt, gravity vatting stainless steel buckets, a pneumatic horizontal press, a vertical ratchet press and a vertical stainless steel press. Then 2007 marked the first vinification at our winery. We stroke to produce high quality wines with a perfect balance.
Our original 13.85-hectare-vineyard stretched from Santenay to the Côtes de Nuits Villages and produced three major appellations: Saint-Romain, Beaune and Savigny-Les-Beaune.
We craft our wines in organic farming and we have always sought to cultivate the vines in the respect of the soil. We want to yield very healthy grapes of the highest quality in terms of phenology.

San Giorgio Ugolforte presents a dark core of red and black berry fruit layered with earth, leather, smoke, and herbs. Complex and elegant, the wine is full on the palate and firm in tannin structure. Refreshing acidity frames a graceful finish. Classic Brunello di Montalcino.
This red is marked by cherry, plum, thyme, sage and loam aromas and flavors. Lively and firmly structured, featuring a saline undercurrent. An open-knit version, with nice equilibrium, fine energy and a long, resonant finish.

Thorn Clarke Milton Park Shiraz is aged for 12 months in American oak barrels.
Deep red color. The wine is deep and rich smelling with dark fruits, plums and spice with some good oak. There is very rich fruit on the palate with plums, blackberry and sweet spice from the oak. The palate is vibrant and young with a flavorsome viscous mouthfeel which will develop complexity with time. There are some slightly chewy tannins which will soften with time and there is great length of fruit flavor.
