Founded in 1862, Casir dos Santos is one of the oldest wineries still operating today. With more that 100 years of history, the winery was selected to nurture our project. This is how Casir dos Santos was born. A winery which brings together a great history and a team of people who continuously bring professionalism, creativity and passion.
The winery was modernized and equipped with “state of the art” technology - a real example of science and technology placed at service of the most noble beverages to maintain its essence unpolluted. We produce wine form vineyards in 3 different places in the Uco Valley, and from Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu, we have the best from every wine region in Mendoza Winery Acreage: 142 Winery Production: 20,000 / 9L cases Varietals Produced: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay Winemaker: Didier Debono Vineyards: Finca Biondolillo, INTA, Novifruit, Pavot Dor, A16 and Gabrielli We strongly believe that winemaking is the art of liberating the vines essence outgrown from their weather and soils conditions. Avatar Malbec is 100% Malbec.
Aged in 100% French Oak barrels for 4 months and then 6 months in the bottle beofre release
Presents a vibrant red color with glints of bordeaux. Great aromatic intensity. It expresses in a very fresh way, with red fruits and a remarkable sweetness. In the mouth it’s balanced with round and sweet tannins, rich and with a marked acidity.
Coming from Agrelo district.
Average of the vines is 25 years old.
Soil type: Alluvial and sandy soils with a big amount of rocks just besides the Mendoza river. This is one of the most prestigious terroirs in Argentina.
Winemaking: Crushing, destemming and maceration pre-fermentative at 11ºC for 24 hours. Alcoholic fermentation in tanks. 4 weeks of skin contact maceration. Aged in French oak barrels for 4 months, Malolactic fermentation in contact with fine lees.
Wine was slightly filtered before bottling.

Silver Oak Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 76.61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18.13% Merlot, 2.56% Cabernet Franc, 2.32% Petit Verdot, 0.38% Malbec.
Expressive and lively on the nose, the 2019 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a black cherry and huckleberry aroma laced with dry floral notes. Integrated oak adds a light note of sweet nutmeg to this wine. Ruby in color, it has a fruit-forward entry with silky tannins that builds across the mid-palate and through a long and balanced finish. Structured while still approachable, this wine remains true to the signature Silver Oak winemaking style and will continue to improve through 2047 given proper cellaring conditions.
Review:
A beautifully compact wine that delivers complex and nuanced aromas of Bing cherry and black raspberry with tobacco, currant leaf, and cedarwood laced with dried sage. Cool raspberry, cherry, and blackberry fruit are perfectly represented, and the lengthy finish is crisp, lively, and energetic.
