Domaines Pierre Chavin, a thriving french winery, is present in the major terroir of the South of France. While producing unique cuvées, it is becoming a leader in the wine industry.
Date Founded: 2010
Pierre Chavin is not the name of one single character. Pierre is a commun french name. It means stone in French and is a reference to the soil, the terroir. Chavin sounds like a couture brand name. It has been borrowed to the Fashion industry. It contains the word Vin in it, meaning wine, the essence of the winery. All together, it makes a very pleasant Winery name, easy to pronounce even for the one coming from far away.
Labor in the vineyard, all the work made to produce wine can’t be sum up by one or two people. It is the accumulation of human’s passion and know how. Pierre Chavin is not one person but us all !

-Wine Spectator 95 Points
In general, 2018 was a great vintage for this variety, and the deep purple-hued 2018 Merlot is stunning stuff. Lots of cassis, candied violets, scorched earth, and graphite notes give way to a medium to full-bodied, beautifully textured, elegant 2018 with polished tannins, no hard edges, and a great finish. It’s going to evolve for 15 years or more.

Bernard Cote Rotie Cote Brune is made from 100% Syrah. Wine was aged in French oak barrels for 16 months (25% new)
Like its little sister (Côte Rôzier) the Côte Brune is a 100% Syrah with a beautiful dark and brilliant color. The nose shows grilled and toasted notes and is completed by small red and black fruits. It is a wine with a very good length, nice complexity, finesse, and firm tannins. Its ageing in barrels for 16 months, 25% of which are new, brings a real balance to this wine. A very pleasant, elegant and modern wine that can be cellared for many years.
