Boeira Tawny 20 Year Port is made from 40% Touriga Nacional, 30% Touriga Francesa and 30% Tinta Roriz.
A Good Complexity of Natural Flavors of Cassis, Blackberries and Caramel.
Fermentation in steel tank and stopped by adding spirit and aged in oak barrels for 20 years. Wine was slightly filtered before bottling.
Quinta da Boeira was built by an emigrant named Manuel da Rocha Romariz, who returned from Brazil in the early 19th century. Knowing the Brazilian market, he registered as an exporter of Port Wine in 1850, using two trade names for the labels: ROMARIZ and BOEIRA.
These brands quickly won the consideration and confidence of consumers and distributors due to their quality, expanding to several markets, among which Portuguese, English, French and Brazilian stood out, among others.
In 1966, the property was acquired by an English family, the warehouses by a textile company and the wines were sold to a Port Wine exporting company.
In 1999 the property was put up for sale with the main interest of a contractor who intended to build luxury homes in a closed condominium.
Father João de Freitas Ferreira, director of a school in Vila Nova de Gaia, warned of the situation of the eminent possibility that the 3 hectares of the property could be transformed into massive construction, with the consequent destruction of its centennial grove.
Concerned and sensitized to the cause, Father João de Freitas Ferreira, integrating a group of ten friends, decided to acquire the property, thus protecting the centenary trees and the palace of the early 19th century.
For the acquisition of the property, a financial study was carried out with the division of investments into five phases:
FIRST PHASE
The transformation of stables and greenhouses into a multi-purpose hall with auditorium and the restoration of all paths in the gardens represented the initial phase of the project which, from the beginning, intended to transform Quinta da Boeira into a visiting room in the north of the country and, more specifically , in Vila Nova de Gaia.
SECOND PHASE
The recovery of the mansion, which was in an advanced state of deterioration, began, transforming it into offices and a luxury restaurant with a capacity for about 80 people seated.
THIRD PHASE
In order to attract tourists to the high elevation of the city of Vila Nova de Gaia, the largest bottle in the world was built, measuring 32 meters in length and 10 in diameter, thus allowing the creation of a tasting room and exhibition room to promote Portuguese wines, culture and gastronomy. It was also possible to adapt the room for the transmission of films in 3D, letting tourists know the different wine regions of Portugal.
FOURTH PHASE
With the objective of financially consolidating the entire project, Quinta da Boeira registered at the Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e do Porto (IVDP) in 2017, thus returning to the genesis of Quinta da Boeira in 1850, as an exporter of Vinhos do Porto, under the BOEIRA brand.
FIFTH PHASE
The project, in its fifth and final phase, concluded with the construction of a 5-star hotel, with 119 rooms and 5 suites, whose construction was based on the green system. The most up-to-date environmental techniques were implemented, such as the use of groundwater to supply sanitary tanks and automatic irrigation of about 3 hectares of the property, with photovoltaic and solar energy also being used, which allowed for remarkable savings and drastic reduction in carbon emissions, transforming it into an ECO hotel.
The most recent challenge was the acquisition of the C. da Silva family home, a name also linked to the export of Port Wines, designed in the 19th century by the architect Teixeira Lopes. Quinta da Boeira is a reference in wines of superior quality, namely in Port Wine, duly certified by the Institute of Douro and Port Wines and proudly marked with the knight seal on the neck, according to the guidelines that the Observatório do Port wine advocates for the defense of the Porto Denomination of Origin.
Each Quinta da Boeira wine is a unique experience, in which Wine and Art are intimately linked, having their maximum exponent in unique bottles and which are distinguished by their shape and aesthetics, such as Diamond or Decanter.

The Grade Cellar Kingly Project Cabernet Sauvignon is made from Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
"This is a noble expression of Cabernet Sauvignon" in full regalia, with decadent aromas and a mouthfeel viscous and sleek. "This vintage of the Kingly Project Cabernet Sauvignon enters the scene" -- Thomas Rivers Brown
Review:
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Kingly Vineyard is endowed with tremendous richness and concentration. It emerges from the best spots within Block 5, which is a bit more protected from the elements. The 2018 is a bit closed today, but it has a lot of promise. Time in the glass brings out layers of inky dark fruit and the savory, minerally notes that are such signatures. This potent Calistoga Cabernet needs time to shine, but it is impressive today just the same.

Laurent-Perrier Cuvee Rose NV is made Pinot Noir from 10 crus in the Montagne de Reims
The Cuvée Rosé from Laurent-Perrier is the most recognized rosé champagne in the world. The house uses its proprietary maceration technique and the wine is crafted for a fragrance and not mixed for a color. Held in an elegant bottle inspired by King Henri IV, it has been widely acknowledged for its consistent high quality for more than 40 years, and it is the benchmark for rosé champagne around the world.
Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé is truly remarkable for its highly expressive bouquet, stemming from very careful preservation of fresh fruit aromas during the wine making. Made with 100% Pinot Noir from 10 different "crus " (or villages), from the North and South areas of the Montagne de Reims, as well as the famous village of Bouzy. Grapes from carefully selected plots are meticulously sorted and de-stemmed before going into the vats, and the controlled maceration helps with the color extraction and the development of the full aromatic richness of the Pinot Noir.
Intensely fruity flavors, clean and slightly sharp, the wine opens to the sensation of freshly picked red berries: strawberries, Morello cherries, black currants and raspberries. The finish is supple and rounded.
Its aromatic depth makes it ideal for pairing with marinated raw fish, grilled prawns, exotic dishes, Parma ham and red fruit desserts. Those who are more daring will try it with Asian or Indian cuisine.
Review:
Ethereal floral and raspberry nose. A vinous palate with a mild mousse, the soft texture all wrapped in spice, nuts, smoke and a superior berry tincture. Very long and easy to enjoy.

W & J Graham's Vintage Port 2017 is made from 35% Touriga Nacional, 47% Touriga Franca and various others.
It is with great pleasure that Graham's announces the declaration of the 2000 Vintage, a wine that has been deemed to meet our very exacting standards, and one that shows every promise of living up to the reputation of the very best Vintage ports that the Twentieth Century provided.
This is a landmark wine for Graham's, not only being the first Vintage of a new millennium, but being the first Vintage wine to enjoy the extraordinary results achieved by the new robotic 'lagares' at Malvedos in the inaugural year of our remodelled winery. Significant also has been the decision to include a rather larger proportion of mature Touriga Francesa and Touriga Nacional from Vila Velha, a classic riverside Quinta a short distance downstream from Malvedos, and some spectacular old vine lots from Vale de Malhadas in the Upper Douro. These wines each from family-owned Quintas have been used to reinforce the predominant component from Malvedos and the traditional excellence of the Rio Torto lots from Lages, to produce a rounded and even blend in the hallmark rich Graham style.
Picking began at Malvedos on September 22nd and the last lagar was run off on October 10th, an unusually short and compact Vintage. Fruit arrived in good condition although yields were less than three quarters of a kilogram per vine, and the juice to skin ratio well below normal. 2000 was a year noted for a very low average yield across the Douro, and with the grapes unusually lacking in liquid, the extra amount of treading work required made it an ideal time to employ our new, tireless, mechanical treaders alongside the two original 1890 stone lagares still worked by human feet. It was evident early on in the Vintage from the colour and aroma of the fermenting musts that we were looking at a spectacular year, and after the usual waiting period of sixteen months or so to see how the lots would develop, we have now made our final selection and assembled the final blend.
The blend displays many of the typical Graham aromas of ripe plum and 'esteva' (gum cistus) and is pleasantly smooth on the palate despite its youth. It is full and rich in the mouth with fresh blackberry and red plum notes. Despite the hallmark Graham sweetness in the mouth the finish is long and clean.
As with all Graham Vintages, this is a wine made to last for years and the patience of laying down the wine for fifteen to twenty years will certainly be rewarded.

Review:
"Thoroughly Ribera del Duero in its power and austerity, this wine’s floral rose scents shade into blackness, lasting cleanly within a structure that’s both open and intense. There’s a hint of greenness from its time in American and French oak barrels, an edge that will tame grilled meats."
