Burgo Viejo Rioja Reserva is made from 85% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha and 5% Carignan.
Ruby red in the glass, with black pepper and vanilla over ripe, mature black fruit. Well-balanced, well-structured and elegant on the palate, with splendid fruit and a lifted bouquet.
Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel; aged 18 months in American and French oak barrels (50% of each).
Enjoy it with red meat and game.
Review:
This shows wood-aging influence with hazelnuts, chocolate, sweet spices, tobacco and savory plums. A touch of black mushrooms too. Medium-bodied with nicely chewy tannins and a pretty lengthy finish. A bit old-school in style but well executed. Drink now.

Shimmering garnet. Aromas of cherry, blueberry, candied flowers, tobacco and coconut pick up a smoky overtone with air. Smooth and fleshy on the palate, offering ripe red and blue fruit, mocha, cola and spicecake qualities that tighten up on the back half. Finishes long and supple with repeating spiciness, even tannins and a lingering suggestion of red berry preserves. Fleshy and open-knit for the vintage, offering powerful blackcurrant and bitter cherry flavors that pick up a spicy flourish with aeration. The vanilla and cherry notes repeat emphatically on a very long, gently tannic, spicy finish. The Burgo Viejo Estate
Six families of farmers founded Bodegas Burgo Viejo in 1987 (with the next generation coming onboard, it is now sixteen families working together). Burgo Viejo´s main asset has always been the exquisite winemaking process of grapes collected from its own vineyards throughout the years, back to the times when they were just a wine cellar selling in bulk (they started as a cooperative in the 1950’s). Burgo Viejo wines are exported to Japan, China, Denmark, UK, Belgium and the U.S. (export markets represent 5-10% of the production). Young Gorka Etxebarria is the leading winemaker and has been working with Burgo Viejo since December 2003.
The Burgo Viejo Vineyards
The vineyards measure 200 hectares – 494 acres – (90% tinto, 5% rosado, 5% blanco) and spread throughout the municipality of Alfaro, La Rioja, Spain at the foothills of Yerga Mountain, on the banks of the fertile Ebro Valley. This area offers a huge diversity of soils and microclimates where the grape varietals, Tempranillo, Mazuelo, Garnacha, Carignan, Graciano and Viura grow to become Burgo Viejo wines.
Most of the vines are 30 years old. Some Garnacha are over 90 years old and some young organic Graciano have been planted. The types of oak used are 90% American and 10% French.

Belle Glos Clark and Telephone Vineyard Pinot Noir is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir.
The Clark & Telephone Vineyard was established in 1972 and planted with “own root” Martini clone vines. Located just 13 miles from the ocean and situated on a west-facing slope, this vineyard experiences weather patterns that pull from west to east to bring cool fog and coastal breezes inland until August when Santa Ana winds begin.
We harvested early in the morning so the fruit would arrive at the winery while the grapes were still cool to preserve their vineyard-fresh flavors. After destemming (but not crushing) the berries, we cold-soaked the must for 14 days to soften the skins and allow for ideal extraction. During fermentation in a combination of closed and open-top stainless steel fermenters, we used both punch-down and pump-over techniques to extract color and phenolics. We aged the wine in 100% French oak (60% new) for up to 12 months. After the wine underwent malolactic fermentation, we racked it twice before bottling.
Deep ruby red in color with lush aromas of ripe cherry, nutmeg, dark chocolate and holiday baking spices. Bold and complex flavors of black plum, crushed raspberry and blueberry pie linger on the palate. The texture is rich and lively, and leads into a warm and structured finish.
Alain de la Treille Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2025 is made from Sauvignon Blanc.
Our Touraine Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and refreshing, with rich, ripe lime and grapefruit aromas. Great elegance with a mineral style and, despite it all, a certain roundness.
Average age of the vines is 20 years. Part of this cuvee is made with 12 hours of skin maceration and another part from directly pressed grapes. The wine was lightly filtered before bottling to keep it stable.
Ideal for the aperitif, cooked fish such as smoked and grilled salmon, and of course with goat cheese.
