Cantina di Verona Amarone Valp Vallis Dei  is made from 65% Corvina Veronese, 30% Rondinella, 5% Molinara

Color: deep ruby red 
Nose: Dried prune and blackberry with hints of vanilla and spice
Mouth: It is generously structured and velvety.

Yield: 8000 kg of grapes per hectar – after which the grapes are dried “appassimento”
Grapes are raisin-dried for at least 4 months after harvesting, losing at least 40% of their weight. It is made from selected grapes which are left to dry on racks in specially ventilated rooms until the end of winter.
Fermentation temperature between 18° and 22°C
Maceration time: 20 days

Levendi Stagecoach Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

From the Stagecoach Vineyard high on the eastern volcanic ridge above Napa, comes this rich and decadent, limited production Cabernet Sauvignon. The vivid red soils and rocky slopes come together to produce a wine with an aroma of sweet blackberry and cassis fruit that carries over into a superbly balanced and polished palate.  Only 1,000 cases produced.

Paradigm Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc

20 months in French oak (only about a third of that is new oak) and for 20 more months in bottle before release

Our winemaking "style" is solely determined by this place or terrior we call "Paradigm." Winemaking is agriculture when you own your vineyards and are able to farm them to promote the very best Earth will give you. All of our selections of wines are made from five varietals on the estate. Every wine is 100% farmed and grown by us.

Complexity in our wines supported by luscious fruit and acidity is our hallmark. Our efforts during harvest and barrel cellaring concentrate on maintaining the freshness from the first day we handpicked each vineyard block. Simple winemaking protocols are employed while crucial “timing” oriented winemaking decisions rule each day.

"The 2014 vintage produced some delicious rich wines and this deeply colored Cab is no exception.  The aromas are enticing and open, showing ripe fruit, complexity, and layers of refined French Oak.  This is a very expressive complete wine that will age beautifully.  Mouthcoating flavors of black cherry, currant, and blackberry followed by chewy tannins lead to an overall palate feel that is delicious. With perfect balance and ripeness, this is a stellar vintage."

The Ca'Momi Estate
When Dario de Conti, Valentina Guolo-Migotto and Stefano Migotto came to America, they wanted to make wine in Napa Valley, while capturing the spirit of their Italian heritage. They take great pride in selecting premium sources of their wine grapes with the majority of the fruit coming from Napa Valley and the rest from other carefully selected areas of California.

Napa Valley is renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignon, and also applauded for producing elegant Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc. In addition to Ca’ Momi’s wide variety of red and white still wines, they produce Ca’ Secco, the first ever Prosecco-style sparkling wine made in California.

The house in the watercolor painting on our label (see image at right) really is Ca' Momi, our house in Veneto Italy.

We named the house in honor of Momi dea Bionda, a local character who was famous for his obsession with the house, his grapes and his wine. We liked the idea of keeping the memory of him alive. Momi was a memorable character. In his later years, he would ride around the property on an old Moto Guzzi motorcycle withthat had a sidecar attached. Across his lap he carried a rifle, to scare away those hoping to steal a taste of his grapes, and in the sidecar rode his best friend Lidia, a faithful dog who continued to ride in the sidecar even after she went blind. Some of the locals say that he haunts our home. We prefer to think that his ghost is just keeping an eye on things. His dog, too. We love the idea that Momi still watches over our home and its vineyard. In fact, we think we have seen him quite a few times.

Avennia Sestina Red Blend 2015

Avennia Sestina Red Blend is made from 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc

The Sestina is a poetic form from Medieval France. Just as a contemporary poet can use an old form like the Sestina to express modern ideas, we use the traditional Bordeaux blend to make modern wines that express Washington fruit. Sestina is our vision for an old vine blend where the focus is on structure, balance, and complexity. This wine is designed for the cellar, but is enjoyable now.

Sestina: This wine is a blockbuster, with black currant, black raspberry, saddle leather, freshly tilled earth, vanilla, and violet on the nose. Exceedingly rich and balanced on the palate, with great poise and structure for long aging. The finish echoes with fresh black fruits, minerally touches, and floral notes.

"The 2015 Sestina is showing very well, offering up a rich, more exuberant bouquet than the 2014 rendition. This emphasizes notes of cassis, black plums, dark chocolate, espresso roast and a subtle framing of new oak. On the palate, it's full-bodied and lavish but controlled, with an ample, more sun-kissed core of fruit and fine-grained structuring tannins. Like the 2014, it's a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. While the 2014 and 2015 are quite different in style, it's hard to choose between them qualitatively. While it needs a few years in the cellar, I suspect the 2015 will hit its peak sooner. - William Kelley"
