Chateau Pitray Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux Les Prairies is made from 75% Merlot, 23 % Cabernet Franc and 2 % Malbec.
Notes of ripe fruit and black tea leaves, it is a young but accomplished wine, ready to drink, whose tannins are already very well integrated.

The second wine of the estate, the 2022 Château Pitray Les Prairies is mostly Merlot with some Franc and Malbec. Its ruby/plum hue is followed by a spicy, complex perfume of mulled black cherries, mulberries, spicy oak, and candied flowers. It's medium-bodied, has a round, supple, elegant mouthfeel, and a good finish.

Vine pruning, timber pulling, bending, clamping and lifting, sorting of grapes … All this careful process is carried out by hand in full respect of the vines so that they offer us between the end of September and the beginning of October, during the long awaited harvest, beautiful fruit suitable for vinification.
No herbicide is used to preserve environment.
After filling the vats equipped with temperature control, during the cold maceration , the juice develops complex aromas. Then, the vats are gently warmed to awaken the indigenous yeasts and launch the alcoholic fermentation.
We taste the vats every day with Nina Mitjavile to decide the care to be given to each one and to favor the generosity and the expression of the fruit. After the fermentations, the wine is descended in stainless steel tanks or barrels of oak for the breeding .
Again, tasting guides us: the fruity wines are raised in vats to cultivate gluttony and freshness while the more complex wines are aged in barrels for 12 to 18 months to magnify the structure and elegance.
All our wines are matured in vats or barrels and bottled at the property.

Ample palate, sweet and ripe fruit balanced by good level of freshness, grainy tannin and a long fleshy finish with some chalky notes. Chateau Castegens Cotes de Bordeaux Castillon is made from 80% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wine boasts an intense, deep and lively red color. The nose offers black fruit, blackberry, cigar box, licorice, some delicate and integrated oak flavors as well. The mouth is full of fruit flavors, spice and fine toasty flavors. The structure is rich, but the tannins are well integrated already. The finish is long and a slight mintiness give the wine a great length and some purity.
Pairs great with meat and vegetables on the grill.

The 2019 Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux Vieilles Vignes has a terrific nose of classic limestone-influenced red and black fruits as well as leather, truffly earth, and tobacco notes. This medium-bodied, round, balanced Castillon has ripe tannins, good mid-palate depth, and a solid finish. The blend is 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc, aged 12 months in used barrels. The 2019 d'Aiguilhe has a really lovely bouquet of ample black cherry, mulberry and light floral scents, very pure and delineated. The palate is medium-bodied with cedar-infused red fruit. While not as exuberant as the aromatics, this is nicely detailed and quite poised on the finish. No, I still cannot pronounce its name, but this Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux is well worth seeking out. - Neal Martin

Average age of the vines is 40 years old.
The wine offers a rich and intense bouquet of blackcurrant, blackberry and strawberry.
It is smooth and full in the mouth with a velvety texture. Acidity combined with firm but well-integrated tannins are a fine supporting cast to the black fruit flavors at the end.
Bellevue Cotes de Bordeaux-Castillon Cé Ma Cuvée is made from 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc
The wine is made with 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. Average age of the vines is 50 years old (everything is between 40 and 60 years old).
Cé Ma Cuvée is a tribute from Michel Lydoire to his 2 daughters:
Cé is for Céline. She is like the Merlot grape varietal. Pleasant and calm.
Ma is for Marina. She is like the Cabernet Franc grape varietal. Tough and with a lot of character.
The color is deep and inky.
The nose is spicy, fruity and oaky with some nice vanilla and coconut aromas.
The mouthfeel is complex, with ripe red and black fruit flavors. Some spiciness and integrated oak flavors.
The wine starts as the Vieilles vignes, but some wine is aged in 500-liter American Oak Barrels for 18 months.
They are using a mix of different toastiness for the barrels. Some high toast and some are medium toast.
This is a fun wine that can be enjoyed with any food, charbroil burgers, grilled vegetables, cheeses ... or even with dark chocolate desserts.
Aiguilhe Cotes de Castillon is made from 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc.
This wine reveals a complex and elegant bouquet that combines ripe fruit, leather and a fine woodiness. Round and warm on the attack, the palate is supported by solid tannins and a pleasant freshness in this harmonious and well textured wine.
The Merlot bring fruity notes and minerality from the clay-limestone terroir, enhanced by the incredibly expressive and spicy Cabernet Franc.

The nose seduces from the very first sniff with its complexity: a minty, mineral freshness, with hints of slate and slightly meaty notes that add depth to the ripe red fruit enveloping the nostrils. The palate is decidedly indulgent, ample and juicy, carried by crushed, sweet red fruit, before a finish that lingers on noble bitterness. A wine that is still young, but already delightful.

The 2019 d'Aiguilhe was picked from 19 September to 5 October and matured in 30% new oak. This has a beautiful, very pure bouquet, demonstrating more precision than the Clos Marsalette alongside. The palate has a spring in its step with fresh red berry fruit, cedar, mint and a citric twist right on the finish. What a delicious d'Aiguilhe, even if I still cannot pronounce its name.

A terrific effort from this large and immaculately maintained property on the clay-limestone slopes of the Côtes de Castillon, the 2019 d'Aiguilhe exhibits aromas of cherries and cassis mingled with notions of burning embers, licorice and warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with lively acids, powdery tannins and a mineral finish, it's intelligently matured in tank and large-format oak as well as small barriques.

Château Cabrières’ Côtes du Rhône vineyard is located south of Orange, on the edge of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The area of the vineyard is 1.53 hectares. The soil is comprised of clay-limestone mixed with pebbles.
Bright cherry red color with an expressive red fruit nose (strawberry and raspberry). Soft tannins in mouth, with freshness and spices. This CDR tastes like a baby Châteauneuf-du-Pape!
