Growing up, Rodney's father farmed grapes, cherries and kiwi which inspired the entreprenurial spirit of the third-generation Lodi grower to one day farm his own way. In 1985, he and his wife, Gayla, bought 40 acres of Old Vine Zinfandel-the same land where the winery sits today. The first plot was on Peltier Road, just north of Lodi. Instead of naming the Winery after themselves, they honored the road that led them to those gnarly vines and would eventually become the winery’s foundation.
Rod Spent 15 years building his reputation for quality grapes while growing his custom harvest business. A year with a surplus of grapes brought on the idea to build a custom crush facility, and a Best of Class award at the California State Fair for a 2005 Petite Sirah began the bottle side of their business. Today, they farm over 1,000 acres of Estate Grown, Certified Sustainable grapes with a focus on growing for quality.

Spring Willow Sauvignon Blanc is a delicious example of how well balanced Sauvignon Blanc from Lodi can be. The wine has citrus and lemongrass aromas, with a light and crisp mouthfeel and a refreshing finish.

Riebeek Cellars Merlot is made from 100% Merlot.
Grapes were cold soaked overnight. Inoculated with selective yeast. Fermentation took place at 24 - 26 degree Celsius. Wine were pressed at
above 2 degree Balling. Malolactic fermentation finished in stainless steel tanks. Oak maturation include French oak chips, French oak staves and 2nd and 3rd fill barrels. All blended together to perfection.
The style is elegant with distinctive red berries and well-integrated wood flavors on the nose. The pallet is velvety and smooth with an aftertaste that lingers with the juicy flavors of abundant berries.
At room temperature or slightly chilled. Enjoy with pasta or light meat dishes.

A barrel fermented, old vines Verdejo made in a style different from what we typically see in this white varietal. It has a remarkable complexity, resulting in the smoothness and depth of a high-end white. Very suitable for cellaring.
Golden yellow color with greenish reflections. Complex, toasty aromas of nuts & dried fruit. Large, creamy, spicy, balanced and voluminous.
Rice with fish, cooked seafood, grilled seafood, baked white fish.

"The eponymous 2020 Ossian was produced with Verdejo grapes from old, organically farmed vines around the village of Nieva (Segovia), a zone where phylloxera didn't reach. They consider 2020 their finest vintage to date, with a big change from 2018 and when they have achieved a much better understanding of their vineyards. It has notes of pit fruit and sweet spices, with good weight on the palate, moderate alcohol (13.5%) and ripeness and good freshness and balance. Floral notes leap out of the glass of the 100% Estate-grown Chardonnay 2022, with notes of jasmine, gardenia and lemon blossom. The contribution of low-yielding CH548 blocks seem to impress their character on the late vintage. The palate is round and fresh, entering with green apple and creamy lemon, which develop into chamomile and sea salt, with a round-textured, long finish of floral and saline notes.
The Estate Chardonnay will be an excellent accompaniment to rich and subtle dishes such as halibut with chanterelle sauce, plank smoked copper river xalmon with dill mayonnaise, Lobster Newberg, Quenelles de Brochet avec sauce a l’Armoricain, black cod with shellfish sauce. It is equally delightful with more casual dining options featuring béchamel sauces or cheese-rich dishes, such as a fondue, pasticcio or even lasagna.

The medium yellow/straw-colored 2022 Chardonnay Estate has a forward feel in the glass, with a great nose offering notes of bright flinty reduction, green apples, lime zest, and white flowers. Medium-bodied and long on the palate, it has persistent drive, with a pure savory feel and a graceful saline finish with a note of lime pith. It will drink well over the next 10 years.
