Maison Roy Petite Incline 2016

SALE!

The Maison Roy & Fils Petite Incline is not as “petite” as in the previous vintage. It shows the warm season and is all about ripe, opulent black and blue fruit aromatically. The palate has great volume and structure with enough tannin to age for 10 years.

Review:

Graceful and refined, with polished and complex raspberry, fresh violet and orange peel flavors that build tension toward supple tannins. Drink now through 2026. From Oregon. - Tim FISH"   - Wine Specator (September 2019), 93 pts

Maison Roy Incline 2014

The Maison Roy et fils Incline expresses bright red fruits including strwberry and pomegranate. it also shows aromas of dried Italian herbs and baking spices. The palate echoes the aromatics with red fruits uplifted by taught acidity giving the wine good freshness and tension that will allow it to age nicely for 5-8+ years. Gentle decanting is beneficial if drinking between 2014 through 2017 as this encourages further aromatic intensity in the wines early years.

Royal Chenin Blanc Old Vines Steen 2020

The Royal Chenin Blanc Old Vines Steen is 100 percent Chenin Blanc.

As the unofficial drink of the Riebeek Valley, Chenin Blanc is the perfect every day wine that offers uncomplicated quality for the novice and connoisseur alike. Packed with upfront melon fruit, the nose charms with an abundance of guava and gooseberries as well as the signature hint of honey. The palate follows through with fruit flavors balanced by a crisp acid to ensure a fresh and fruity style of wine.

Enjoy well-chilled as a lovely crisp glass on its own but ideal for al fresco dining and with light summer fare. Beautiful with salads, anti pasti and seafood.

The Royal Shiraz-Cabernet 2016

The Royal Shiraz Cabernet is made from 60% Shiraz, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon
Juicy and fruity, Australian in style with blackberry, blackcurrant and spice flavors, subtle vanilla and black pepper. Smooth and well balanced, a lingering finish of berries, spice and beautifully integrated oak. Pairs well with red meat, especially classic recipes like roasted leg of lamb, grilled lamb chops and beef kebabs.

Abeja Merlot Columbia Valley 2014

This one-hundred-percent Merlot has really nice, bright red fruit, rose petals, and a richness on the nose. Flavors of plum, mountain strawberry and mocha come together with a balanced mouth feel and a long finish. Though it was a cooler vintage, I feel we have still captured the powerfully elegant style for which we are known.

Review:

"The 2014 Columbia Valley Merlot (100% Merlot) is a ripe, black fruit, plum, leafy herbs and mineral-scented effort that has medium to full-bodied richness, moderate mid-palate depth and tons of upfront charm. It's going to drink nicely through 2024."
- Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Issue #231, June 2017), 90 pts

"The aromas bring notes of dried herb, vanilla bean, wood spice and black cherry. The flavors are rich and luscious, supported by plump ripe tannins. The finish lingers."

Winery: Roy et Fils

Domaine Roy et Fils began in 2012 with Marc-André Roy and Jared Etzel who continue in their father’s footsteps (partners of Beaux Freres Winery, established in 1991). Over 20 years later, the two families have kept the same focus of producing top quality wine through meticulous and almost obsessive work in the estate vineyards.
