Tasting Notes
NAPA BENCH is rich and flavorful. Red and dark fruits are apparent in the nose with Plum, Currant and Blackberry tones. The aroma is layered and shows the power of Cabernet and of oak nuance. The pallet is fine grained tannin, long and refined with a high degree of Deliciosity! The finish lingers and invites a second glass. This Cabernet Franc is black cherry red in color with aromas of blueberry jam and white pepper spiciness. With wonderful ripeness we were able to make one of our best Cabernet Francs. The wine is very lush across the palate with a silky softness and sweet impression of ripe blueberry fruit. Tannins are very moderate with a nice light texture in the mid palate. This is an easy drinking Cabernet Franc, rich and complete and very enjoyable.

Capanna Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is made from 100 percent Sangiovese.
TYPE: DOCG
BLEND: 100% Sangiovese carefully selected in the oldest vineyards and only of the best harvests.
VINIFICATION:
Alcoholic fermentation with maceration of the skins (30-35 days) at a controlled temperature and spontaneous malolactic fermentation, both in truncated cone-shaped Slavonian oak vats.
AGEING:
In Slavonian oak casks of 10 to 25 hl for over 40 months; followed by ageing in bottles for at least 15 months.
NOTES:
Colour: deep ruby red, strong, lively.
Bouquet: very intense and complex, fruity and spicy, with red fruit, jam and liquorice shades; great prospects of future development.
Taste: great structure in the acid-tannin components, well supported by the soft ones; extremely persistent.
Food pairings: roast red meats, game and very aged cheeses.

Bright ruby in the glass. First impact is low key, with red cherry, leather, tobacco, fresh violet and balsamic notes. The attack is velvety, with a full body, lifted acidity and dense, ripe tannins. Character emerges from the glass, meaty and bloody. Thick, dry finish that’s fierce. Drink or hold

Deep inky dark fruit aromas alongside gravelly minerals, violet, and Kalamata. The palate flavors follow the aromas with a sweet core of blackberry pastille wrapped up in a coating of cocoa nib and cassis liqueur. The wine is quite densely packed with clear deep intensity before turning silky and graceful on an elegant lavender-infused finish.
Review:
The 2022 Syrah Wild Mountainside comes from two vineyards harvested on September 6 and September 15. It was fermented with a large proportion of whole clusters and matured in around 10% to 15% new oak. The nose is bursting with detailed, expressive aromas of blueberry, black cherry, bacon fat, woodsmoke and aniseed. The medium-bodied palate is expertly restrained in terms of ripeness, with a pleasing touch of crunch to its fruit. It's structured by powdery tannins and mouthwatering acidity and has a long, expressive finish.
