Scattered Peaks Small Lot Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon.

The wine displays amazingly deep dark color. Aromas include dark, ripe cherries with a touch of cassis, licorice and brambly sage. The new French oak adds a bit of mocha toastiness. On the palate the wine is very powerful with firm but approachable tannins, great complexity and a long finish.

Celebrated winemaker Joel Aiken is at his best with this masterfully crafted red sourced from both Morisoli Vineyard in Rutherford and Ridge Vineyard on Howell Mountain. Concentrated notes of cedar, slate, and a slathering of grainy-textured dark chocolate meld with black cherry and plum. Sophisticated and regally structured.

The full spectrum of Barossa Shiraz's aromatic capability is here on show: from scorched earth, bitter couverture chocolate just-dried raisin, sweet red licorice and cola bean, all heady, defined and un-wound for all to see. Here. The fine line between luxurious fruit and energy is walked gracefully, it's warming and full-blooded nature tethered by lifted acidity.

Pair with marbled steak or rich beef stews, roast beef, grilled bbq meats.

Siegel San Elias Carmenere is made from 100 percent Carmenere.

The nose shows beautiful red and dark fruit aromas, earthy notes and violets with balanced acidity. Supple and round in the mouth, juicy tannins, good concentration.

The wine pairs well with full flavored cheeses and lamb.

Siegel Special Reserve Carmenere is made from 100 percent Carmenere.

Viña Siegel is a family operated winery with a well-established tradition and long history. For generations we have been dedicated to the art of crafting wines with strong identities. Our Special Reserve wines represent the union of tradition and innovation in two generations. The grapes are sourced through careful selection of our best vineyards. Their ripe and round tannins clearly express the terroir of Colchagua. Siegel Special Reserve Carmenere has been aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. It has an intense violet-red color, with aromas of black fruits, spices, dark chocolate and dried figs. The palate is balanced and juicy with velvety tannins and a long finish.

Pre-fermentative cold maceration for 5 days, with alcoholic fermentation occurring at 27-29°C for a deeper colour and better structure. Smooth pump overs happen once a day at the winemaker’s discretion. Post-fermentative maceration for 2 weeks. Then the wine is separated from its lees and malolactic fermentation ensues. Once the wine has fermented it is smoothly clarified and cold stabilisation occurs when necessary.

It pairs well with spicy foods, pasta with mushrooms and roasts

Siegel Special Reserve Chardonnay is made from 100 percent Chardonnay.

This Chardonnay has a pale yellow color. On the nose is is complex with citrus and tropical fruit aromas balanced with notes from the oak aging. On the palate it has good acidity with a long finish.

VINIFICATION: Alcoholic fermentation occurs at 16-17 degrees C. When the alcoholic finishes part of the wine is kept on a pump-over program.

FINNING AND FILTRATION: Once the wine has been blended it is clarified and then undergoes cold stablisation and is later filtered through clay.

AGING: Aged in French oak barrels for 6 months.

Pairs well with fish like Tilapia, salmon and white meats.

Sobrenatural Bonarda Organic is made from 100 percent Bonarda. 

Sobrenatural is a new line of certified biodymanic and no Sulphur added wines from Chakana’s Nuna vineyard.
Bonarda offers a fresh and fruity nose, a bright, juicy texture. Low tannins, excellent freshness.

Fermented with native yeasts in concrete vats (no epoxy sealing). No fining, no filtration, no additives. NO SULFITES ADDED.

Light cheeses, cold cuts, grilled salmon. Empeñadas, Spicy food and grilled vegetables.

Sobrenatural Tinto Organic is amde from 80% Tannat and 20% Malbec from Chakana’s Finca Nuna vineyard, fermented with indigenous yeasts. Sobrenatural is a new line of certified biodymanic and no Sulphur added wines from Chakana’s Nuna vineyard.

Deep, dark fruit aromas. Firm tannins balanced by a juicy, soft texture, good acidity and length.

Pairs with empeñadas, pork chops, Chorizo, spicy food, grilled vegetables.

Tasting notes: A brand new wine from this tremendous vineyard, The Sokol Blosser Kalita Vineyard 2021 Estate Pinot Noir bursts with classic Yamhill-Carlton dark-fruit notes, including black cherry, cranberry, and blackberry. Warm spices, espresso, and woodsy forest floor are backed up with grippy tannins to balance the fruit.

Stonestreet Estate Vineyards Rockfall Cabernet Sauvignon is made from Cabernet Sauvignon.

Sourced from one of our highest elevation vineyards, the 2017 Rockfall Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon features a true wildness that expresses the rugged growing site 2,000ft above the fog line. Elegant aromas of blueberries, cassis, graphite and black tea with complex undercurrents of baking spices. This wine balances power with elegance through to its savory palate with a generous structure and ample tannins. The structure of this wine allows for many years of cellar aging to continue to bring out nuanced flavors and complexity.

The Rockfall Vineyard is between 2,000 and 2,200-feet in elevation, and the wine that originates there is powerful and concentrated in style, with robust red-fruit and mineral tones. Sylvestra Malbec  is made from 100% Malbec. 

Very attractive ruby red color with dark tones. Aromas of black fruits, cherries and raspberries, spicy notes of red pepper.
The palate is fresh, fruity and well-balanced, with sweet and ripe tannins.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Kingly Vineyard is endowed with tremendous richness and concentration. It emerges from the best spots within Block 5, which is a bit more protected from the elements. The 2018 is a bit closed today, but it has a lot of promise. Time in the glass brings out layers of inky dark fruit and the savory, minerally notes that are such signatures. This potent Calistoga Cabernet needs time to shine, but it is impressive today just the same.

Thibaut-Janisson Virginia Fizz is made from 100 percent Chardonnay.

Virginia Fizz is a fun and festive sparkling wine, great for all life’s celebrations. It is cremant style made of 100% Chardonnay. Packed with apples and peach flavors, the wine has a very creamy and smooth texture. The myriad of tiny bubbles will tickle your taste buds.

Refreshing on its own, but perfect mixed as a cocktail!

Mas la Plana is graceful and balanced despite its firm and dominant tannin profile. Bright crunchy acidity ensures a wine that will develop in the cellar for years to come. This polished red displays hints of its Mediterranean heritage with herbaceous bramble while holding true to brooding currant and loamy earth, reminiscent of old-world Cabernet Sauvignon.

Review:

Inviting mint, floral, cassis, clove and cinnamon nose. Juicy, lively and fresh on entry, with densely-packed soft black fruits, blackcurrant jam and spice. Textural and long with fine silky tannins and tidily-integrated acidity. Superb overall length and finish.

Toza Crianza Jumilla is made from 100% Monastrell (Mourvedre). Toza Crianza is a classic example of the Monastrell variety from the Mediterranean region, made from hand harvested old vines and aged 12 months in oak barrels. This Spanish red is rich, toasty, round and velvety.

Trefethen Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 85 percent Cabernet Sauvignon; 10% Petit Verdot; 3% Merlot; 2% Malbec; 1% Cabernet Franc. 

Review:

Sophisticated oak spices top abundant, ripe and chocolaty fruit flavors in this full-bodied, generous and velvety textured wine. While needing time for full enjoyment, this gorgeous bottle could be decanted and savored sooner with a steak or roast.
