Our founders are connected through Marine Corps Aviation. Jeff’s grandfather was a Marine in WWII who served with VMF-311, a Marine F4-U Corsair squadron stationed in the South Pacific. Matt is a third generation Naval Aviator who served as a Marine AV-8B Harrier attack pilot with VMA-542 and VMA-231 during Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. Because of this connection to Marine Aviation, the company was branded Sky Devil Wines.
Since WWI, Marines have proudly referred to themselves as Devil Dogs. In time, some Marine pilots began using the term Sky Devil to describe a Devil Dog with wings. The F4-U Corsair, a legendary gull winged fighter plane of WWII, is an iconic and enduring symbol of Sky Devils around the world and is the symbol of our winery.
We are building the Sky Devil brand to exhibit our namesake’s esprit de corps and to embody the heroic ideals of a high performing team focused on mission accomplishment. Relentless perseverance is foundational to the Sky Devil, and Sky Devil Wines pursues its passion and mission in the same way. Every day.
Our family and close friends made us who we are. They taught us everything we know, encouraged us to create something meaningful, and have been a driving force in our lives and our brand.
At Sky Devil, we believe in high performing teams and the intrinsic value of work – in doing what we enjoy, sweating the details, and letting the results speak for themselves. We believe in staying up late, waking up early, and enjoying the journey. We believe in trusting each other and taking time to enjoy fruit of one’s labor. We believe hard problems can be solved by family and friends working together – sitting around a table, sharing a meal...sharing wine. Talking...listening. We believe the easy way is rarely the right way.
Perhaps most importantly, we believe in celebrating life’s great moments...the big and little victories that make us each who we are. And we believe in forwarding the dream to others.

Justin Vineyards & Winery Isosceles Reserve is made from 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot
Dark, ruby/purple core with a medium intensity rim and moderately stained tears. Complex and very aromatic with black cherry, cassis, toasty vanilla, cinnamon, cedar, graphite, oak, dusty leaf notes, star anise and red licorice. Full bodied, with ripe black fruit of cherry, currant and berry with baking spice on entry. The mid-palate features sustained fruit with sweet tobacco, leather, vanilla and licorice, and mouth coating tannins that balance its full fruit character through a very long, fresh and beautifully balanced finish that evolves with a complex mix of fruit, spice and savory elements.
The 2016 ISOSCELES Reserve is a bold, but balanced wine that pairs nicely with rich meat dishes like slow cooked stews and braises, but shines beautifully with a simple grilled ribeye steak.
Review:
Clean lines of blackberry jam, charred toast and crushed slate make for a focused nose in this reserve blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot. It is very dense and thick on the palate, where mocha, caramel, loamy earth and dark berry flavors align into an lusciously rich yet elegantly dry experience.

Big, bold and racy, this Cabernet Sauvignon has a dense purple, almost opaque hue and offers up an electrifying bouquet dark red, blue and black fruits with notes of tobacco leaf, graphite and spicy oak. Opulent and layered it flexes its power but is framed by refreshing acidity with silky, sweet tannins. The 2021 displays loads of potential for being enjoyed in its youth, while also rewarding patience over the following decade. For bang for your buck, you can’t find better, or as Robb Report states, “Royal Prince is making the best wines you can buy for your money right now.”
Review:
Made by Maayan Koschitzky (of Atelier Philippe Melka), the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is all varietal brought up in French oak. Its deeper ruby/plum hue is followed by a classic Cabernet Sauvignon nose of cassis and black cherries supported by plenty of sappy herbs, graphite, and obvious minerality. This medium-bodied, lively, elegant Cabernet has ripe, building tannins, a good spine of acidity, and outstanding length. Drink this classic, impeccably made 2021 over the coming 10–12 years, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it evolve longer. (Jeb Dunnuck)
