On behalf of my family and our incredible team, welcome to Trump Winery, the largest winery on the East Coast and one of the most spectacular properties anywhere in the world. Throughout my career in real estate, I have had the opportunity to work on many iconic projects, the tallest skyscrapers in the world such as Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago, world-class resorts including Trump National Doral in Miami, and legendary properties like Trump Turnberry and so many more.
Throughout this journey, I can honestly say that Trump Winery, from the moment of acquisition has been one of the most exciting. Stepping into the world of winemaking has been unbelievably rewarding and with the passion and drive of our amazing team led by Kerry Woolard, our General Manager and master winemaker, Jonathan Wheeler we are changing the way that the world views Virginia wines. Each year our wines continue to receive tremendous accolades competing and winning against vineyards that have been in business for decades. La Despensa Boutique Sangiovese is made from 100 percent Sangiovese.
There's really very little Sangiovese in Chile. It was an educated gamble to plant this variety in La Despensa little corner of Colchagua and the team is thrilled with the results.
This Sangiovese is a fresh and fruity take on a classic Italian variety, but with the typical savoury notes of tomato and cherry. Perfect for early drinking, but will improve for many years to come.
Thorn Clarke William Randell Cabernet is made from 100 percent Cabernet
The William Randell range of wines were created in honor of the family ancestor - the esteemed pioneer William Richard Randell (1824 - 1911). The wines are sourced solely from grapes grown on the family estate vineyards. Wines in this range are only made in exceptional vintages.
The deep red color with purple hues of this wine draw you in. The nose is brimming with notes of fresh blackcurrant intertwined with complexing savory spice. The palate has an integrated French oak influence with notes of toasty cedar accompanied by further notes of briary fruits. A wine with great depth and drive.
