Dog Bone is a serious wine with a fun label!
We wanted to make a great wine at a fair price and help dogs across the country. 10% of all profits will go to Humane Societies in places we sell Dog Bone. Sales of this wine are also helping North Coast Grape farmers by finding a home for their excess grapes.
The nose has classic Cabernet notes of Graphite, Blackberry Blossom, and Black Olive Tapenade. The palate has loads of tannin structure, Blackberry, and Almond Wood. The wine is very structured and will age beautifully. It drinks like a young Pauillac from a classic vintage like 2005 or 2009. This is a balanced wine with great purity.
We make our Cabernets with structure and balance. We source from hillside sites that are cooler and allow us to make wines with beautiful fruit and good acidity.

Product Description
Vitanza Quadrimendo is a blend of 50% Sangiovese Grosso, and 50% Merlot. Total aging time was 12 months in French oak, and 12 months bottle refinement. It is flavorful and complex with a good backbone of acid and tannin.
Deep red ruby color. Intense aromas with characteristic peppery notes. Dry, tannic and powerful but with a smooth body.

The Tenuta Vitanza Estate
The story of Tenuta Vitanza begins in 1994, when Rosalba Vitanza and her soon-to-be husband, Guido Andretta, spent a romantic weekend in Montalcino.
Rosalba has a PhD in Philosophy, and was teaching at the University of Rome, La Sapienza branch. Guido Anderetta was working as an aerospace engineer, running his own consulting business based in the United Kingdom and the U.S.A.
In 1994, they united their efforts behind the purchase of Podere Rensione, a country home with two acres of vineyards. Their first vintage was 1995 and the couple received 93 points from the Wine Spectator. Today, they own 80 acres of vines (not all in production year), and have a long-term goal of 15,000 cases of production. Since 2002, the couple has been building a modern, gravity flow winery, computer controlled, and wi-fi connected, in the town of Torrenieri. The winery has 13 large stainless steel tanks, each signifying a specific vineyard area. Also, the winery has been designed with total traceability, meaning that each bottle is numbered. The Sonoma Coast is the largest appellation in Sonoma County, strongly influenced by its proximity to the ocean and heavy rainfall—producing more than twice the annual amount of its inland neighbors.
Our Sonoma Coast vineyards span the northern true coastal zone and the southern edge of the appellation. This distinctive blend is made from 11 different clones, fermented in predominantly stainless steel, and aged for 16 months in 38% new oak. The resulting wine has an energetic acidity with cascading layers of black cherry and elderberry, followed by a lasting finish.
Fact of Note: This Sonoma Coast blend was the longest to ferment in stainless steel from our Appellation Series.
La Parcelle 8 Cabernet Sauvignon presents bold and complex aromas of black fruits, chocolate, and toast alongside earthy, herbal, and floral notes. On the palate, it displays a full body, ripe tannins, and a lasting finish.
La Parcelle 8 Cabernet Sauvignon pairs well with roasted lamb, braised short ribs, mushrooms, or fine cheeses.
Review:
Complex and intense with a rare mineral quality for the hot 2020 vintage. Fresh blueberries, wild herbs, hot stones and graphite. A hint of violet. Tannins are quite chalky and tense on the medium- to full-bodied palate. Extremely long with an ethereal finish. It goes on and on, lasting for two minutes. Effortless intensity and concentration, but almost weightless. This delivers exceptional freshness for this vintage. Harvested from 18th March. Already drinkable now, but it will last. 100% century-old, ungrafted cabernet sauvignon.
