Grand Veneur Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes 2015

Grand Veneur Chateauneuf Du Pape Vieilles Vignes is made from 50% Grenache, 40% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah

It boasts an inky/purple color in addition to a gorgeous perfume of crushed rocks, jammy black fruits, charcoal and graphite. Blackberry aroma with an air of dates pressed in alongside – this is sweet-noted. It is easy to appreciate, a sleek and stylish start. The palate holds excellent fruit that runs well and has kick. Its tannins move round freely and a minted finale comes forward. Its dark fruit is tasty, darkens on the finish, where tar and char from its oak enter. It is all very much together, a bundle of harmony, and will gain local attributes as it ages.
An outstanding Chateauneuf du Pape which display the best of its terroir.

The vines are 50 to 100+ year old. They are planted on red clay soils covered with pebble stones.

Harvest is destemmed and crushed. Fermentation temperature is controlled at 30°C. Vatting period of 18 to 20 days. Matured in concrete vats (40%) and oak casks (60%).

"From barrel, the sensationally rich and concentrated 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes (50% Grenache, 40% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah aged in concrete tanks and small barrels) is more polished, elegant and seamless, with blockbuster notes of ripe black fruits, crushed herbs, pepper, plums and violets. You almost need a fork to drink this beauty, yet it’s never heavy or over the top, has incredible purity and present, ripe tannin. I followed this bottle for two days and it only got better with air. Châteauneuf du Pape lovers shouldn’t miss it! - Jeb Dunnuck"

Chavy-Chouet Meursault Clos de Corvees Citeau 2016

Chavy-Chouet Meursault Clos des Corvees de Citeaux is 100 percent Chardonnay

"Clos des Corvees de Citeaux" is a monopole.
Aged in new oak barrels (Allier).  A powerful and elegant white Burgundy; expressive, fresh and fruity with intense and strong flavors.

The Clos des Corvees de Citeaux is a vineyard located in Meursault. It was part of the appellation of l'Ormeau; 0.96 hectares which was an old property of the Cistercian monks who made a two metre wall around the vines, consequently it's a hot place on a summer afternoon – one of the earliest ripening plots in Meursault.

Delta Landing Zinfandel Lodi 2014

Delta Landing:
An extensive system of estuaries where water flows throughout the coast range connecting a series of waterways and wetlands. This isolated and exotic confluence of rivers promotes one of the most unique and fertile agricultural areas in the world. Warm breezy summers coupled with sharp foggy winters creates enticing varietals that will enchant your palate.

Tasting Notes: Opulent and bold, the Lodi Zinfandel is alluring and powerful yet perfectly balanced. The fruit is lusty and pepper tinged with deliciously smooth, intense red and black fruit flavors of cherries, raspberries and blackberries. This juicy, medium bodied wine shows off bright acids and soft tannins for an exhilarating and significant finish.

Landes Grand Heritage Lussac Saint Emilion 2015

Color: deep dark ruby intense color
Aroma: racy and aromatic nose with aromas of ripe red fruit, floral notes, wood and spice with a touch of vanilla.
Taste: this wine has a good structure and some powerful aromas of raspberries, blackcurrant, vanilla and it is powerful with a complex finish. The oak is present but not dominant. The tannins are quite well integrated already.

Average age of the Vines: 60 years Yield : 50 hectoliters / hectare. Grape picking: harvest by machine. Vats: Stainless steel thermoregulated and computerized. Fermentation: 45 to 50 days with a final 35°C warm steeping. Winemaking: Malolactic fermentation in new oak barrel. Ageing: 16 months in new French Oak barrels from Allier and Limousin. Annual production: 10,000 bottles. (833 cases)

Review:

Spicy and toasty from the wood aging, this wine is ripe and dense. It has enough juicy black fruits to balance the serious amount of wood, at least in the future. Wait for this concentrated wine with its good potential to develop over the next few years. Drink from 2021. 90 Points Wine Enthusiast

Finca Sobreno Ildefonso Toro 2014

Finca Sobreno Ildefonso Toro  is made from 100% Tinta de Toro
Very Old Vines (Minimum 80 years of age)
Aged in 100% new French Oak Barrels for 18 months + 12 months in the bottle

The wine is produced in very limited quantity from the estate's oldest vineyards (80 years old vines) and is fermented in 2,000-liter open-top fermentation vats. Our winemaker punches down the cap by hand three times a day using the traditional pigeage method to ensure optimal extraction.

The name of the wine is the surname of the San Ildefonso family, father Roberto and daughter Paloma, and represents the apex of their winemaking tradition.

Tasting notes
Deep cherry color.
Very expressive, elegant and complex with ripe fruit, mineral notes, sweet spices, chocolate aromas and intense toasts.
Powerful, tasty, round and very smooth. We find again black berries, mineral notes, chocolates with roasted aromas. Very long after taste.

Soil types:
The soil is formed by sediments of sand, clay and limestone, which produce a dark lime-bearing topsoil, with fine and coarse sands.
This year we had low rain falls getting very healthy bunches. Besides, cool nights and not very hot days at the end of the cycle were excellent for a complete ripening of the grapes, full of nuances.

Winemaking and aging
The fruit is manually selected and picked in small cases. After destemming the grapes are stored in 2.000 liter open fermenter tanks and cold maceration at 8ºC during 8 days. Three times a day the cap of the skins is submerged manually (pigeage) and after the alcoholic fermentation is finished at a controlled temperature, the wine is macerated until the wine maker determines the appropriate extraction polyphenols. The malolactic fermentation is carried out in new French oak barrels. The wine was aged in new French oak barrels for 16 months, followed by another 12 months minimum in the bottle.

Ideal for red meats, lamb, roasted meat and strong cheeses
