Ilaria Accordini Amarone Classico Riserva 2000

Black cherry color, pours thick, and with rich flavors. Bing cherries and Kirsch on the nose. Flavors like a ripe Châteauneuf du Pape with ample extract, red liquorice, and a persistent finish.
“This wine rates 95-99 points in quality” – Francis J. Kysela V, MS

The wine is aged 60 months in oak barrels, then aged 24 months in tank, and another 12 years in the bottle before release.

Enjoy it with mature cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano. Goes well with grilled meats, roasts. An excellent sipping wine and a great match with chocolate desserts.

Ilaria De Nardi Amarone Classico 2017

Ilaria De Nardi Amarone Classico 70% corvina - corvinone, 30% rondinella - 20 years old vines

Aged in French oak barrels (225L) for a minimum of 24 months, followed by 6 months in stainless steel tanks.

Amarone is called the king of the Italian wines and it is considered as one of the best wines in the world. It is a noble and complex wine. In the Valpolicella area, the Lessini hills protect the vineyards from cold fronts from the north, and by Garda Lake from the west, creating ideal temperature control during the winter months.

Amarone is a noble wine with a unique and different personality from year to year. A great character and personality, the wine boasts an intense garnet color, black cherry and raspberry aromas, spicy notes, coffee and liquorice. The mouth is full and persistent, soft and smooth with a good structure.

Ideal with boiled, roasted and grilled meat.

Aura di Valerie Amarone della Valpolicella 2017

The first kosher Amarone! Amarone undergoes a very unique process prior to fermentation. In late October, grapes are harvested and allowed to dry for around 120 days. Known as the “appassimento” technique, the drying process traditionally occurs on straw mats or in temperature controlled drying chambers. This process helps concentrate the juices and increases skin contact, giving the wine a very ripe, full-bodied flavor. There is no other wine like it! The unique flavors of Amarone, including dark chocolate, coffee, dark fruit and light notes of cherry, pair beautifully with steak, stews, and bold cheeses.

The color is deep bright, ruby red with a violet edge. Powerful bouquet and intense aromas of cherry, ripe plum, toasted almond, and vanilla. A full bodied wine with round and rich flavor.

Leindl Gruner Veltliner Seeberg 2013

Juicy, good complexity, extract core sweet, silky texture, fine acidity bow, fine and salty minerality, great length, secure aging potential, a very finesse Veltliner-style.

Leindl Riesling Heiligenstein 2013

Medium yellow green. Fine nuances of ripe apricot, a hint of yellow apple, delicate herbs and spices, mineral Touch, hints of candied orange zest. Juicy, elegant, fine stone fruit, touch of finesse acidity, salty minerality in the finish, remains long, already well to drink.

Review:

"Scents of buddleia, gentian, thyme and lavender immediately hint at the site in which this grew, and there is corresponding inner-mouth perfume to delightfully complement luscious apple and white peach on the satiny, palpably extract-rich palate, as do also a glowing piquancy of pits and pips and Veltliner-like savor of blond tobacco. The buoyant and profoundly protracted finish here leaves behind a soothing and intriguing carpet of flavors while not forgetting its first duty to refresh. - David Schildknecht"

The Bryson Barrell Select Red 2013

This limited release wine is created from the fusion of two exceptional parcels of 55% Shiraz and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon. This classic blend is matured in the finest oak crafting an intriguing unison that captures the essence of the vineyard and highlights its unique varietal expression.

Vintage Overview
2013 was a very good season with predominantly mild, dry days. Yields were generally low and this did result in some excellent parcels of fruit being harvested. Vine-balance was carefully monitored, resulting in fruit that demonstrates the vibrancy and fruit-derived characters that we strive for in our wines. By all accounts it was a textbook vintage.

Tasting Notes
Deep inky purple in color. Aromas of blackberry, mocha, mint and spices. Lush, ripe palate dominated by black fruits, cherry and chocolate. An expansive palate with black fruits and nicely balanced by oak.

Made with the greatest dedication and care, select parcels were matured in new and seasoned French and American oak for up to 20 months prior to being selected for this blend. Individual barrels from our family estate that best demonstrate the intensity of our fruit, balanced by integrated oak were selected for the final blend, which was then bottled with minimal filtration.

Pairs well with venison, ribeye steak, lamb.

Review:

55% Shiraz and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon. Intense purple-crimson colour, and a notably complex array of fruit aromas and flavours augmented by 18 months in new and used French and American oak. Plum cake, dark chocolate and gently chewy tannins are all part of a complex jigsaw puzzle. Screwcap. 14.5% alc.

-2017 James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 94 POINTS

Gorgeously complex and sensual, the wine shows crème de cassis, sweet plum and spicy oak characters on the nose with nuances of game and tobacco. It’s mouthfilling and expansive on the palate with layers of delectable flavours and silky texture, making it immensely appealing.

Product Description

Intense garnet color. Black cherry and raspberry aromas. The mouth is full and persistent with a good structure.

Lasting but soft, creamy, full of scent of dried fruits.

Ideal with boiled, roasted and grilled meat.

The grapes are generally harvested in the first two weeks of October. They are laid on racks in single layers to allow a better air circulation. The grapes start to dry out on the fruit and on average, after 120 days, they loose 45% of their weight. The grapes are vinified in the end of February with a long maceration on the skins until the wine reaches an alcohol content of at least 15%. The wine is then refined in kegs before being transferred into barrels. The wine is usually bottled 3 years later.

Winery: Accordini

The Accordini Winery

The Accordini Winery is settled in the heart of the classic Valpolicella, Pedemonte. The estate is approximately 25 hectares in Negrar. The Accordini Winery focuses on three varietals: Corvina,  Rossignola, Rondinella, Corvinoni, Garganega. The focus is the Ripassa style and Corvina grape, where Accordini dominates.

Guido Accordini, the family’s third generation winemaker, wanted to make the winery a leader in high quality wines production. Guido’s father  built a new cellar for this high quality production. Here the most famous “Amarone” was made.

"A tiny Amarone producer of impeccable quality; the Le Bessole bottling has traditional spice, earth notes, and deep fruit; the Riserva is tannic; most of the wines offer elegance and food-friendly acidity."

- Anthony Dias Blue's pocket guide to wine 2006
