Cambon la Pelouse Haut Medoc is produced from a careful selection of the grapes. Made from 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Limited yield: 45 hl/ha.
Aged in oak barrels for 12 months (50% new oak). Intense ruby/purple color. Delicate aromas of red fruit, liquorice, vanilla and caramel. Ripe fruit flavors, well balanced, great harmonious structure, silky tannins and a good length.

Pairs well with game and red meats, cured cheeses.

Review:

"Big and powerful, this is a concentrated and complex wine. Blackberry fruit flavors are strongly based on a tannin structure that is lightly sustained by the wood aging. Merlot dominates the blend, giving a sheen to its richness. Drink from 2018."

Chateau Trois Moulins Haut Medoc Cru Bourgeois 2018

Trois Moulins Haut-Medoc Cru is made from 52% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc.

Average age of vines: 19 years.

Aged 8 months in French oak barrels (1 year old barrels)

This wine is ripe and firm on the palate. Flavors of black plum skin and blackberry form a rich wine that is approachable at an early age.  This wine is weighted enough to balance the intense tannins, with enough acidic structure to lift the finish.

Fresh, harmonious and nicely balanced in the mouth with a solid tannic structure and good acidity that promises a long aging potential. The mid-palate is pleasant with a nice density of fruit. A silky and fruity finish.

"A big-time sleeper of the vintage, this huge property, sandwiched between Cantemerle and Giscours, has released a blend of 50% Merlot and the rest primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with dollops of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. There are 17,500 cases of the 2005, undoubtedly the finest wine ever made at this estate. It possesses a dark ruby/purple hue as well as an exotic, flamboyant, fruity bouquet of black cherries, wood smoke, tobacco, and spice. Lush, round, and opulent, it is ideal for drinking over the next 5-6 years."
- Wine Advocate (Aug. 2008), 89 pts

"Sexy aromas of raspberry liqueur, coffee and smoke, plus a tarry nuance. Rich, broad and dense, in an extractive modern style. This boasts an almost liqueur-like ripeness,"
- Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (June 07), 89 pts

"Medium-bodied, with medium tannins and a delicate finish."
- Wine Spectator (Web 08)

"It comes from a huge southern Medoc estate that is part of the high-quality Haut Medoc group of chateaux called Biturica. The wine offers chocolate, toasty oak, and black cherry characteristics in its medium-bodied, deep, modern, up-front, appealing style. Drink it over the next five to six years."
- R. Parker, Business Week Online (Sep. 06)

"Expressive nose. Brimming with soft, dark fruits, spice and warm oak. The nose is echoed on the palate with big yet approachable tannins. 5-10 years."
