Pairs well with game and red meats, cured cheeses.
Review:
"Big and powerful, this is a concentrated and complex wine. Blackberry fruit flavors are strongly based on a tannin structure that is lightly sustained by the wood aging. Merlot dominates the blend, giving a sheen to its richness. Drink from 2018."

The Cambon la Pelouse Estate
Cambon la Pelouse is located in Macau, between Chateau Giscours and Chateau Cantemerle, just outside the Margaux appellation. Mr de Cambon founded the estate during the French Revolution. Annick and Jean-Pierre Marie took it over in 1996 and made some great investments to renovate the property.
The Cambon la Pelouse Vineyard
The vineyard spreads over 60 hectares of vines with an average of 30 years. The soil is made of fine and larger gravel from the quaternary period.
The vineyard is farmed under the "culture raisonnee" method (sustainable). Hand-harvesting, pruning, thinning out of the leaves, green harvesting, destemming ensure the perfect quality of the grapes.
Trouillet Lebeau Pouilly-Fuisse Aux Chailloux is made from 100% Chardonnay.
This Pouilly-Fuisse is produced from 60 year old Chardonnay grapes (among the oldest of the domaine) that are grown in the foothills of the Solutre Rock on the parcel called "Chailloux" - the name means in old French clay and rounded “chailles” or stones. They play a significant role in the composition of the soil as they bring minerality to the wine.
The wine offers beautiful aromas of red juice orange and spices. Ample in the mouth, rich and full, with a fresh finish on citrus fruits.
Excellent with poultry and fresh water fish. Delicious also with goat cheeses.
Bavencoff Morey Saint Denis is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir.
This wine has a deep, dark hue. The aromas of red fruits and black berries form a dense ensemble, closely linked to woody notes that introduce nuances of vanilla, blond caramel and coffee. It has a generous power, supported by a strong tannic structure.
Aged 18 months in French Oak Barrels
Roast lamb, rib of beef, duck breast. Burgundy cheeses such as Epoisses or Cîteaux

Maltus Lalande de Pomerol is made from 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.
This is the newest project from Nicolas Lassagne (Chateau des Landes).
He acquired this 2.5 ha (6.17 acres) parcel in 2015.
Beautiful sustained deep purple color
The Bouquet is rich, generous, complex and reveals notes of black fruits.
The palate is round and powerful with some good integrated tannins. The finish is long and structured.
Origin of the name:
History tells us that the origin of the Château Maltus goes back to the Middle Ages, in the time of the crusades. The Order of Malt, well implanted on the land named Lalande de Pomerol, cultivated for the first time vines on the grounds of the Château Maltus.
Review:
"This structured wine is dense and packed with ripe, jammy Merlot. The richness of the wine is balanced by acidity and emphasized by the dark chocolate and full aftertaste. Drink the wine from 2022. - Roger Voss"- Wine Enthusiast Magazine (May 209), 90 pts
"A blend of 80/20 Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the 2016 Chateau Maltus spent 18 months in French oak before bottling. This deep ruby/purple-colored Lalande-de-Pomerol boasts outstanding notes of chocolate covered cherries, blackcurrants, dried earth, and licorice. With medium body, a rounded, mouthfilling texture, and supple tannins, it’s an incredibly charming, delicious 2016 to drink over the coming 8-10 years."

Review:
This shows something of Margaux's—the neighboring appellation—delicacy, allied with firm, dry tannins. It has the dense structure and ripeness characteristic of the vintage, with a rich black-fruit flavor and acidity. It's a wine for long-term aging."

"From an estate right on the border of Margaux, the 2015 Cambon la Pelouse checks in as 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, all brought up in 35% new barrels. It has beautiful complexity in its spicy oak, cedarwood, and black raspberry and currant aromas and flavors. These all carry to a medium-bodied red that has a seamless, ultra-fine texture, good concentration, and a great finish. It’s a beautiful, incredibly high-quality wine that’s already drinking brilliantly, yet I suspect it will shine for another decade."

Champagne with rich and structured aromas. Very pleasant and generous roundness, nice length in mouth. Golden color with buttery and fruity aromas. All the expression of a magnificent terroir for your most pleasurable moments.
To be a member of this Club, Champagne producers have to elaborate their Cuvées in their own facility, meaning the pressing, bottling, ridding, disgorging, etc., have to be done at the domaine/estate. Then, only the Recoltants-Manipulants are accepted. Everybody has to respect the Club’s rules to ensure the quality. These rules include: * Only vintages * Two tastings to control the quality: the first one after the blending, when the wine is still “Vin Clair” (juice) and another after the 3 years (or more) of ageing “sur lattes”. There are 26 members, each of whom can produce his Special Club with his own techniques: * blending or “monocru” (only one grape variety) * “blanc de blancs” or “blanc de noirs”; ageing from 3 to 10 years, brut or extra-brut. 4 year ageing minimum Strict selection of plots only made out of our old vineyards.
"The Special Club offers notes of brioche and poached pear on the nose and presents a rich, fresh palate of excellent textural richness and complexity. Finishes long and focused with hints of oyster shell and citrus. Overall, an outstanding Special Club from the superb 2012 vintage. This cuvée meets the rigorous production and tasting standards of the Club Trésors; it’s 100% old vine Chardonnay with 6 years sur latte." - I-WineReview (Champagne: Diversity and Change, January 2020), 95 pts

"Smoky pear and lemon meringue introduce the Carte Noire Blanc de Blancs. On the palate, it offers ripe citrus, rich apple in butter pastry, and an uplifting note of lemon curd with lovely mid-palate depth, fine effervescence, and brisk acidity that provides a successful counterbalance to the richness of the fruit. The finish is solidly dry with lingering rich fruit notes. All Grand Cru Chardonnay from Chouilly; spends 6+ years en tirage. Outstanding value for the price, too."

Betz Family La Serenne Syrah is 100% Syrah
La Serenne is the most reflective of the site/vintage dynamic of our three single-site 2012 Syrahs. Lovers of this wine know that its source, the Boushey Vineyard, is the highest altitude of the three vineyards and is typically the latest harvested. This cool site was accentuated by the cooler season and the results reflect the seriousness of this vineyard and its care.
An extraordinary, nearly impenetrable black purple color leads to a concentrated, inky aromatic impression: smoky black cherry and wild blackberry dominate, but a litany of supporting aromas is already emerging: smoke, violet, mushroom, roasted meat, Chinese 5 spice and minerals. It has a full attack on entry and a big, rich mouthfeel that goes on and on.
2012 is our 13th harvest from this site and these rows. We continue to be impressed with the chameleon nature of this vineyard, in cool years and hot, in heat spikes and cool springs: it provides us with surprises and opportunities at every harvest. While the themes of deep black fruits and pliant structure always surface, the nuance of this vineyard and its care (thank you, Dick Boushey) make it some of the most satisfying fruit we work with every harvest.
Review:
"The pure, elegant and textured 2014 Syrah la Serenne offers that classic violet and floral characteristics of the cuvee, as well as medium to full-bodied richness, lots of black raspberry fruit, fine, sweet tannin and a great finish. It’s not as powerful or concentrated as the La Cote Rousse, yet it’s a joy to drink and will cruise for a decade or more on its balance and purity. - Jeb Dunnuck"
