It also displays some smoke and vanilla from the oak barrels. It is rich and balanced in the mouth with an elegant tannic structure and long fresh fruit end.

Aged in 50% French and 50% American Oak barrels for 12 months. First and second use only.
Wine was slightly filtered before bottling.
Excellent when paired with red meats, pasta with spicy sauces, matured cheeses.

Product Description
The wine was made in honor of Don Antonio Diaz R, a pioneer in the agroindustrial and wine development in the province of San Juan at the beginning of the twentieth century.
This Cabernet Franc has a generous fruit flavor and hints of herbal notes and spice. It is quite complex and the finish is also lingering, due to the ageing in oak barrels, delivering some vanilla, coffee and caramel type of flavors.
The oak, nonetheless is very integrated and the wine is already showing some juicy and round tannins. Ready to be enjoyed now.
Manual selection of grapes, destemmed and fermentation at controlled temperatures with a posterior long maceration to extract all components.

We are in Valle del Tulum , San Juan ,Argentina where in 90 hectares divide in two Fincas (farms) El Encanto and our historical "Lucrecia" where we produce 400000 Kilos of grapes aprox . for 330.000 bottles .
We have diferents diferent varietals.
Chardonay and Viognier
Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec , Syrah and Bonarda .
In the winery we produce 80000 bottles that we treat them differently , we make treatment with wood ( 6 month with American and French Oak ) , the rest we sell in bulk, fresh grapes ( fruit), raisin and grape for wine.
Some times we make special editions as one that we are going to split in April , wines that leave 18 months ago and we are going to call FINCA LUCRECIA .

Also three of our traditionals wines , the two lines Diaz R Pionero ( blue capsule) pure Varietales and Diaz Generacion Blen , in all the cases were made using Cabernet Sauvignon , Cabernet Frank, Malbec and Syrah .

Paul Hobbs Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon.
Farmed with a unique precision to match the unparalleled terroir of this historic Oakville site, this vintage is ethereal, delicate, and nuanced. An attractive deep garnet in appearance, this wine expresses soft red cherry, strawberry, floral, and graphite. The palate is full and lively with flavors of blueberry, blackberry, sandalwood, and dried herbs, supported by a lovely grip of tannins and well-tensioned texture that leads to a long, refined finish.
Review:
Blackcurrants, black cherries, ripe raspberries and tar. Some graphite, too. It’s full-bodied and very plush with crushed tannins and an airy mouth-feel. Just floats across the palate. So fine. It has a second finish at the end, where the tannins emerge at the front of the palate. Quite unique. Drinkable now, but Best after 2027.

More expressive and open-knit, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard sports a similar ruby/purple to go with an incredible array of black raspberry, cassis, flowery incense, orange blossom, smoked tobacco, and exotic spice. As are all To Kolans, it's incredibly perfumed and complex aromatically, and it's one of those wines that changes every time you come back to the glass. Full-bodied on the palate, it offers beautiful richness and depth, a light, graceful mouthfeel, silky tannins, and a heavenly finish. It's another magical wine from this talented winemaker that readers will absolutely love.

Chakana Estate Malbec is made from 100 percent Malbec.
hakana is the name of the Southern Cross constellation. Its rotation in the sky throughout the year made it an effective agricultural calendar for the ancient Andean people.
The "yaguarete" (jaguar) on the label was known by the ancient Andean people as the "lord of the starred night"; the wildest known animal.
Chakana Estate Malbec is from Chakana's Altamira (3,200 ft elevation) and Gualtallary (5,500 ft elevation) vineyards.
The color is deep purple, very intense, typical of Malbec. Plum, brambly berries, spices and an iris/violet note are apparent on the nose. Intense, fruity flavors with velvety tannins.
