Globe-trotting winemaker Florence Cholet returned to the tiny village of Corcelles-les-Arts in the Cote d'Or area - east of Puligny Montrachet, right across Meursault - in 2019 to take over the four generation-family estate. Florence's father Christian officially founded the estate in 1976 as Domaine Christian Cholet-Pelletier, and was then joined in 1982 by his wife Anne.
Florence gained experience and worked across France, USA and Australia. She studied biology and biochemistry at the University of Burgundy, Dijon. She has a licence in viticulture and a Master degree in oenology. She also worked at an independent laboratory in Morey Saint Denis.
As a young and ambitious winemaker, Florence changed many of the original vineyard practices, such as they no longer use pesticides or herbicides, and new oak is used sparingly. The vineyards are ploughed and since 2017 fermentations have used wild yeasts.

Reviews:
On the savory side, this red opens with freshly mowed grass, hay and eucalyptus aromas before revealing cherry, strawberry, rose and mineral flavors. Fleshy, with a matrix of dense tannins flexing their muscles on the finish. Shows excellent potential. Best from 2023 through 2042.
-Wine Spectator 96 Points
Floral and red fruit nose. Supple attack, very polished and concentrated, with fine-grained tannins and ample acidity. This has a linear drive, precision. and a very long finish. The rewards will be substantial for the patient consumer.

Alain Jaume Vacqueyras Grande Garrigue is made from 65% Grenache Noir, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and 5% Old vines Cinsault
Deep, intense hue. Aromas of fresh black fruit a little meaty, with dried herbs smells. On the palate, the richness of the tannins harmonizes with the smoothness of the wine. The finish is long, with spices aromas, licorice. A typical wine from this specific terroir called "Les Garrigues".
Soil type Vacqueyras is located right next to Gigondas AOC. It mostly streches on Sarrians territory, where is the famous plateaux named “Les Garrigues”. This area is made of clay and rocks. The beautiful landscape of the “garrigue” is typical of the mediterranean area. The wines itself smell the spices, the dried herbs…you will taste the “Garrigue” in your glass, welcome to Provence … Winemaking & ageing Traditional winemakeing methods, temperature controlled fermentation. Long soaking on the skins.
