Philippe Milan Bourgogne Rouge Cote Chalonnaise is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir.
The wine is produced from Pinot Noir grapes planted between 1963 and 1978 in the commune of Chassey Le Camp (extreme north of the Chalonnaise coast). The vineyard spreads over about 1.50 hectare with an average yield of 45 hl / ha. to reach optimum maturity for the grapes.
This Pinot Noir is lightly colored with loads of flavors, especially cherry. Very fresh and aromatic with a long finish.

This wine has been aged in Oak (25% new Oak)
This is a little more structured and the style goes more toward the
"vin de garde", or wines meant to age. This wine needs some food, or sometime
in the decanter right now. It is well structured and reminds me of a Volnay. As
a matter of fact, the parcel is located right next to Volnay. The finish is
long and still quite juicy with chewy tannins lingering.

Clear and crystalline color of an intense pure yellow with golden reflections.
The aromas in retro-olfaction are particularly faithful to direct olfaction, also intense, complex and extend long in the final too.
It is a fresh, generous and round wine with a rich taste balance.
The entry is supple, the beautiful natural freshness of this exceptional Picpoul is revealed from the middle of palate and extends beautifully on the finish.
The nose is very expressive, flattering and complex.

The nose here is brilliantly red fruited, with layer upon layer of subtle spice, bright floral notes, herbs, and stone. Its not all poetry and pageantry, though, and the first impression of the wine was simply, “oh that’s goooood.” A fair assessment, and sometimes that it all one requires. Further tastes show fine tannin throughout, a juicy, vibrant mouthfeel that is very likeable, and deft, long-developing layers of fruit that reveal themselves severally.

"Glistening red. Vibrant red fruit, floral and spice scents show very good clarity that picks up subtle hints of succulent herbs and smoky minerals with air. Juicy and energetic in the mouth, the 2017 offers gently sweet cherry raspberry and rose pastille flavors and a touch of spicecake. The name "CONNA" is a sweet nickname after his wife Monica.
Bright straw yellow with greenish hues, with an intense and interesting perfume of grapefruit, apple and aromatic herbs. Floral, fresh, focused, good acidity. Refreshing and bright, full bodied with an aromatic persistence, it is savory and tasty on the palate with a smoothness that enhances the rich character of the wine

Soil composition: lime and sand.
Plant density: 5000 vines / hectare.
Cultivation system: traditional Guyot.

After a short period of maceration on skins, the grapes are soft pressed. The clear must obtained ferments slowly in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 16-17°C. The wine spends a long period of time on the fine lees, with frequent “batonnage”
