This single-vineyard Chardonnay is produced in the village of Clessé, in the heart of the Mâconnais region in Burgundy, from 45 year-old vines planted on the limestone based soils of the Mount Epin.
Brillant robe with golden reflections. A nose with pear and white peach notes. Fresh, ample and full-bodied, a great balance in the mouth, with tension and subtle wooden notes. The elegance of this pure wine lingers on the palate.
Harvest is made by machine on non-irrigated vineyard. The wine has been aged on fine lees for 10 months with the major part in a stainless steel vat and the remaining in new oak barrels made out of French oak of a high quality.
No use of sulfites during harvest and vinification.
Fresh, ample and full-bodied on the palate, the wine is perfect by itself as an aperitif and delicious during the meal with grilled fish tacos or a Pad Thaï.
Guillemot-Michel Vire-Clesse Retour a la Terre is made from 100 percent Chardonnay.
This cuvée is produced from grapes planted in the "Champ-Rond" vineyard and vinified in 800-liter amphoras.
The wine displays the estate's typical exotic fruit aromas and ripe citrus fruits with an extra dimension of expression due to the amphora's breathing. Ample and generous in the mouth with fine acidity and fantastic purity.
Guillemot-Michel Vire-Clesse Retour a la Terre is aged in 800-liter amphoras. The small grapes ripen beautifully without a high degree of alcohol - they are picked on the last day of the harvest, and the aging in amphora gives the wine a great purity.
The vines are grafted on "Riparia Gloire de Montpellier" - an old root-stock that was obtained in 1880 - producing very low yields with magnificent small grapes of a deep gold color.
Review:
The 2022 Viré-Clessé Retour à la Terre is a selection within the largest block on clay soils that is picked on the final day of harvest. The grapes tend to be very ripe but have lower sugar levels, so they have half a degree less in alcohol, aged in terracotta jars for 11 months. Again, it conveys more complexity on the nose compared to the Quintaine, based on yellow fruit but intermixed with peach skin, a touch of lanolin and pear. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Wonderful purity, a light citrus element and white peach come through toward the finish. Clean, precise and sapid, this will be difficult to resist, but it will be intriguing to see it age in bottle.

Coming from the Adelaida District and aged 20 months in 65% new French oak, the 2022 Armory reveals darker currants, red plums, spicy wood, smoky tobacco, and cedary notes. It's medium to full-bodied, concentrated, pure, has fine, polished tannins, terrific overall balance, and outstanding length. Drink 2025-2037.

A beautiful golden color with green reflections, delicate toasty notes and attractive aromas of citrus and ripe summer fruits combine with floral and honey nuances that are typical of the old vines.
Fresh, ample and full-bodied on the palate, the wine is perfect by itself as an aperitif and delicious during the meal.
Aiurri Rioja is made from 80% Tempranillo, 15% Grenache, 5% Graciano.
Chalky, mineral and pure, with blood orange and blackberry fruit and scented oak. "Aroma: Complex and intense, where black fruits accompany spicy notes, highlighting black pepper and licorice. In the background, the notes of aging appear, with tones of dry tobacco and leaf litter. Taste: Powerful wine with good structure, but at the same time with notable freshness. It generates very pleasant and elegant tactile sensations. It is a wine where balance, concentration and sensations of fullness prevail. Color: Deep cherry color with a high layer."
Review:
Very well-made, a harmonious melange of fresh, plummy fruit with fine spices, warm bread and minerals. High-grade oak adds a bit of warmth. Medium- to full-bodied with firm tannins. Structured yet long. The wood tannins will integrate in two more years. Drinkable now but better from 2027.

Named after the Basque word for “made by hand,” the 2022 Landua comes from a mix of different nearby villages, all close to the mountains with influence from the Atlantic Ocean. Mostly Tempranillo, in the old-vine vineyards planted between 50 and 80 years ago there’s also Graciano, Garnacha, a few white varieties, and some unknown varieties that all go into the final bottle. Red fruit-forward, it is drinkable upon release, fermented in French oak foudres, with very soft, textured, and layered red fruit, graphite, a touch of herb, and an undeniably ethereal quality. Review:
Ripe stone fruits, honeyed citrus, flowers, and some chalky mineral notes all define the 2022 Viré-Clessé Gentilhommes (wax cap), a balanced, fresh, focused white that has beautiful overall balance and a great finish. This was brought up mostly in stainless steel with 40% in foudre, and it's a custom cuvée made for Kysela. It's a smoking good Viré-Clessé to drink over the coming 4-6 years or so.

Harvested from an exceptional vineyard in the heart of the Swartland, the Kasteelberg Pinotage is characterised as a well-structured wine, offering layers of flavours and aromas. Seductive rich plum flavors with notes of captivating dark chocolate follows through in a smooth and lingering palate of intense flavors integrated with the freshness of ripened cherries.
Grapes used for this wine are coming from vines that are 10 years old in average. It is also sustainable farming used for this plot.
The grapes were cold-soaked for 3 days at 10°C to extract as much color as possible before fermentation. After cold-soaking, the temperature is increased to around 18°C and yeast is added to start fermentation. Regular pump-overs are done to enhance skin contact which improves the flavor and color profiles. Fermentation temperature between 22 - 26°C. Fermented dry on skins, pressed. After malolactic fermentation, wine is transferred to barrels. Figgins Estate Red Wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot & Merlot
Dark to the rim, with signature aromatic notes of ripe red and blue fruits, tanned leather, black olive, and lilac. The nose simply brings a smile. On the palate, if I had to describe the wine in one word it would be precision. The way the sweet fruit and dramatic length are braced by lively acidity and tannins aligns so perfectly that the wine is, quite simply, delicious.
Review:
The 2019 Red Estate is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Merlot from the higher elevations of the Figgins estate. The 2019 is cool and collected in the glass, with soaring floral aromatics and minty herbs complementing notes of red plum and sweet smoke. It's round and supple on the palate, with ripe wild berry fruits that slowly saturate toward the close. This finishes with gritty tannins and youthfully poised, yet concentrated, as lingering notes of tobacco and hints of lavender slowly fade. There's a radiance and harmony encapsulated within the 2019 that is seldom seen. It’s a well-muscled dancer that is sure to impress for many years to come.

The 2019 Red Wine comes from the estate vineyard outside of Walla Walla and is based on Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Merlot, all aged 22 months in new and once-used French oak. Its saturated purple color is followed by a gorgeous bouquet of cassis and blueberries fruit as well as spicy oak, tobacco, and scorched earth-like minerality. Full-bodied on the palate, it's supple and forward at first yet builds on the palate, with more density and tannins showing on the finish. The purity is spot on, as is the balance, and it's another beautiful wine that warrants 2-4 years of bottle age and will have 20 years of overall longevity. It's one of the top releases in the vintage. There are 1,617 cases produced.

Inviting aromas of vivid red fruit, fresh herbs and paprika. Full-bodied with juicy, fruit-soaked, fine tannins. Delightful. So much happening here. The fruit is plentiful and full of charming spice and herbal complexity. Very well balanced and long. Fresh. A blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and petit verdot. Best after 2024 but attractive now.

From Maison Le Bihan in the heart of the Loire, this Touraine Chenonceaux “Revelation” pours a limpid, brilliant pale gold. The nose is intense and expressive, layered with floral aromatics, and the palate is dry and harmonious with a tangy edge that carries a long, lively finish.
A natural aperitif, it also shines alongside white meats, Loire asparagus and seafood.
