The Cabernet Sauvignon Casey’s Lakeview is similarly inky bluish/purple to the rim. Tasting like blood, this wine is dense and rich with lots of chocolate, espresso, earth and spice. It is deep, full-bodied, and again, a masculine style of wine that needs at least 4-5 years of cellaring and should keep for 25 or more years.

Lakeview Vineyard is the winery’s mid-block vineyard planted to a combination of clone 6 & 337 Cabernet Sauvignon on 101-14 rootstock. Excellent drainage from the rocky and chalky soils plus plenty of sunlight throughout the day produces wines of bold character with mouth filling flavors.

Organic farming methods are used to produce this Cabernet Sauvignon Casey's Lakeview vineyard. Vines are 17 years old. Ageing in French oak barrels (85% new) for 20 months, then 12 months in bottle prior to release. Non-filtered.

We are a small producer of premium Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from the Calistoga AVA. We have three estate-grown vineyards planted in the diverse terrain of our 48-acre property. The wines from these vineyards are crafted by our winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown and perfectly reflect the terroir of the Franz Valley area. Once a private boys school, our sprawling property offers a glimpse into the hard work and dedication we have put forth into Harris Estate Vineyards. The vineyards and wine have become a true way of living for us and we hope to share it with you.

Tucked in the hillsides northwest of downtown Calistoga, Harris Estate Vineyards continues to produce wines of impressive purity and texture. These full-bodied wines have personalities that reflect
their mountainside location and ideal grape growing soils. Year after year I am impressed by the quality of grapes grown here, making this one of Napa Valley’s finest up-valley vineyards.

Superripe black cherry, plum, chocolate and licorice add to an impression of flamboyance that sits on the edge of being too much. Kinsella Estates Heirloom Cabernet Sauvignon  is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

Organic made.

Intense was the first word that came to mind. Purely focused tannin weaves its way through the core of this wine. Has a savory characteristic that we have found in past vintages (2014 to be specific) with a slight licorice note on the exceptionally long finish. While this vineyard has been described as “feminine” in the past, that is certainly not the case for this bigger, bolder vintage!

Any vegetable or meat in the grill. Delicious with Chocolate as well.

Review:
The cream of the lineup in 2016 is the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Heirloom Vineyard, which has the most purity, balance, and length of the three releases. Coming from older vines and a terraced vineyard in Dry Creek, its deep purple color is followed by a rock star bouquet of blackberries, black cherries, graphite, chocolate, and mineral aromas and flavors. It's deep, full-bodied, straight-up seamless, and perfectly balanced on the palate, and reminds me of a great Saint-Emilion with its dark, chocolaty fruit and obvious minerality. Kinsella Estates Jersey Boys Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon. 

Pure 100% cabernet Sauvignon, this vineyard continually astonishes. Loads of loamy soil notes followed by blue and black fruits give this cabernet massive depth and beautiful integrated tannins. Milk chocolate, crème de cassis and tobacco give this massive wine the depth you come to expect with Napa cabs, but it is all Sonoma County, all from our magnificent little private valley which sees sun all day! We buy no fruit; we sell no fruit.

Jersey Boys is a six-acre vineyard that was replanted in 2008 with four different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, handpicked by winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown.

Wow…just Wow!! This wine has it all. Not as “big” as past vintages this wine is gangbusters right out of the gate. Ripe blackberry, juicy and rich with a wonderful chocolate core. Has a dusky quality that we have seen in this vineyard in the past that tricks your brain into thinking the wine is older than it is. It’s pure. It’s rich. A step up and coming from a steep hillside vineyard, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Jersey Boys Vineyard is another full-bodied, powerful yet elegant wine that has notable complexity in its cassis and black cherry fruit and notes of black tea, savory herbs, tobacco, and earth. The tannins are beautifully polished, and it offers notable purity and freshness as well as a great finish. It's another 2016 that offers incredible quality. It too is ideal for drinking over the coming 10-15 years, and I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see it keep longer. -Jeb Dunnuck 95 Points

Kinsella Estates Spencer Cabernet Sauvignon 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot

Our fourth vintage from the Spencer Cabernet vineyard certainly does not disappoint. The blend is the same as years past (92% Cabernet/8% Petit Verdot) and this wine just continues to excite us. Loaded with blue and black fruits, this wine has the acid lift that just screams well marbled red meat! Out of the three wines, this one seems to need the most air so a healthy decant will only help peel back the layers that is Spencer Cabernet.- Winemaker Thomas River Brown

These releases are made by Thomas Rivers Brown. The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Spence Vineyard comes from a site in the Dry Creek Valley and reveals a deep purple color as well as a pure bouquet of currants, cassis, spice box, tobacco, and earth. I love its balance, and it has full-bodied richness, ripe tannins, and a dusty, mineral-like character on the finish. Laird Cabernet Sauvignon Flat Rock Ranch 2013

Laird Cabernet Sauvignon Flat Rock Ranch is made from 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon.

Our Flat Rock Ranch vineyard is located near the north corner of where Yountville Cross Road meets Silverado Trail, on State Lane. This prized, complex fruit from the Yountville Appellation is a result of unique geological and meteorological conditions: volcanic soils similar to the adjacent Stags Leap District, but also display ancient coastal deposits, and sedimentary and alluvial soils that provide beneficial stress for our vines. Marine air currents from San Pablo Bay to the south are caught when they reach the “Yountville Mounts,” providing a natural cooling effect that balances warm, sunny days that ripen the rich tannins of our hallmark Cabernet Sauvignon to elegant distinction.

Tasting Notes: Bold violet-red color introduces a captivating bouquet of blueberries, tea leaf, and vanilla. This full-bodied wine has flavors of cassis, hazelnut and briary undertones with fresh acidity and chewy tannins on the palate.

Made in a rich, full-bodied, wooded style, this has an intense aroma of ripe apples, lime and pears with hints of tropical fruit, beautifully enhanced by subtle tones of well-integrated oak. 
Although upfront and bold, the secret of this wine is in its exceptional balance.

Only free-run juice was settled and was inoculated with selected yeast to ferment in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks between 13-14 degrees Celsius. After fermentation the wine is matured in French oak for 3 – 6 months to integrate flavors and enhance a luxurious mouth-feel.
