Born into a family of winegrowers in the Sancerre region, based in Bué, a small village near Sancerre, Michel Girault established his estate in 1971 with a few plots in the Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé appellations. Starting with 4 hectares, the estate has grown over the decades and now comprises 17 hectares: 11 hectares in the Sancerre appellation, including 2.5 hectares of Pinot Noir, and 6 hectares in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation.
In 2007, Anthony Girault joined his brother Olivier, who had already been working on the property since the late 1990s. That same year, Domaine Michel Girault became Earl Michel Girault, with Anthony and Olivier taking over the management of the estate.
Domaine Michel Girault offers Sancerre wines in all three colors and two cuvées in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation.
Anthony and Olivier vinify all the wines produced by the estate in both appellations. All the wine is bottled at the estate and sold for export, at wine fairs in France, and directly from the estate.
The various Sancerre red and white wines, the Sancerre rosé, and the two Pouilly-Fumé wines from Domaine Michel Girault are regularly recognized by wine guides.

Michel Thomas Sancerre Blanc Silex is 100 percent Sauvignon Blanc.
Intensely aromatic and concentrated Sauvignon from the Silex soils, this is a wine of great concentration and excellent balance. Aromas of fresh herbs, with flavors of citrus, ripe gooseberry, apple and a hint of gunflint. A delicious apéritif and the classic match for goat cheese or asparagus.
The special bottling "Silex" is limited each year to between 400-500 cases. They grow grapes on three soil types: 40% Terre Blanche-Argilo-Calcaire, 40% Caillottes-calcaire, 20% Le Roc-Silex. This wine come from the hardest stone soil on the vineyard giving it pleasant notes of fruit and a very dry flavor: This wine is bottled using traditional methods without filtration, allowing for a authentic and natural taste to the wine.
A delicious apéritif and the classic match for goat cheese or asparagus.
Michel Thomas Sancerre Blanc is 100% Sauvignon Blanc (40% Caillottes, 40% Grosses Terres, 20% Silex)

The Grade Cellar Kingly Project Cabernet Sauvignon is made from Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
"This is a noble expression of Cabernet Sauvignon" in full regalia, with decadent aromas and a mouthfeel viscous and sleek. "This vintage of the Kingly Project Cabernet Sauvignon enters the scene" -- Thomas Rivers Brown
Review:
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Kingly Project is fabulous. A wine of vertical power and thrust, the 2019 soars out of the glass, showing magnificent intensity from start to finish. Black cherry, scorched earth, licorice, plum and chocolate give this substantial Cabernet tons of complexity. I would cellar the 2019 for at least a few years to allow the tannins to soften. -
