Review:

"Tropical fruit, white spring flower and a hint of crushed tomato-vine lead the nose. The juicy palate doles out honeydew melon, grapefruit and papaya alongside crisp acidity. A saline note caps off the finish. - KERIN O’KEEFE"

Sunset Hills Red 2017

Sunset Hills Red is made from 77% Cabernet Franc, 9% Tannat, 8% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon

Notes of brambled blackberry, raspberry, plum, and forest floor. Light in body, leaning on acidity rather than tannins. Youthful and vibrant!

The lighter style that Sunset Red offers widens the scope of the wines here at Sunset Hills Vineyard. Delicate and youthful, the structure of the Sunset Red is carried by its acidity and bright fruit notes, rather than heavy oak or tannins. We want this wine to be enjoyed young—with the fruit notes still bright and vibrant.

OnePio Lugana Bianco is made from 100% Trebbiano di Lugana

No oak. Ageing on the lees for 6 months, plus an extra month in the bottle.

Soft, harmonious, full and well-balanced wine with straw yellow color. Multifaceted and fragrant aromas of almond, citrus and a slight touch of fresh pineapple. These wines can often be a touch on the dull side, but Onepoi is anything but dull. This perfectly balanced creamy white coats the palate leaving you wanting more of its minerality and refreshing citrus flavors.

Grapes are grown on Clayish soils with Southern Sun exposure. The vineyards is 14 hectares in size (34.6 acres)
The best grapes are exclusively harvested by hand in small 15-kilo wooden basket that are placed in a refrigerating room for one day.
Later, the grapes are washed with a special ozone treated water. After drying, the grapes are divided in two batches.
The first batch undergoes the maceration, process connected to tradition, that leaves the obtained must in contact with the skins in a tank (one day), so it’s possible to obtain an higher extract of colors and perfumes, respecting the organoleptic features of the wine.
The second batch faces a process more linked to innovative technology, so the grapes are pressed vacuum-sealed directly with the wine press at cold-temperatures. In this way the must is oxidized as little as possible.
Both processing methods allow conferring a more complex gustative and visual aspect to the final product. The must decants for 24 hours, in order to eliminate the most unrefined particles. During the alcoholic fermentation, selected yeasts are added at the temperature of 19°C.

Perfect as an aperitif. It is also delicious with starters, fresh cheeses, black truffle dishes, fish and white meat.

Review:

"Attractive lemon-custard character and nice creaminess on the mid-palate. Then, a rather smooth finish makes this an appealing Lugana. Drink now."

Abeja Syrah Walla Walla Valley 2016

Complex and compelling, this estate-grown Syrah sends up smoky notes of cured meat, nougat and caramel. Black cherry fruit anchors the barrel notes, and it just gets more and more delicious as it winds its way across the palate. This demonstrates classy winemaking and perfect balance.

The fruit for this wine is grown at an elevation of 1310 feet on the grounds of the Winery. The higher elevation and the proximity to the Blue Mountains, gives this vineyard a longer, cooler ripening season than most other areas of the Walla Walla Appellation. The cooler site results in a style much like that of a classic Northern Rhone with complexity and balance without the concentration and higher alcohol levels of Syrah produced in warmer areas.
