Philippe Milan Bourgogne Rouge Cote Chalonnaise is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir.
The wine is produced from Pinot Noir grapes planted between 1963 and 1978 in the commune of Chassey Le Camp (extreme north of the Chalonnaise coast). The vineyard spreads over about 1.50 hectare with an average yield of 45 hl / ha. to reach optimum maturity for the grapes.
This Pinot Noir is lightly colored with loads of flavors, especially cherry. Very fresh and aromatic with a long finish.
Philippe Milan Bourgogne Rouge Cote Chalonnaise is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir.
Light color - translucent - but loads of flavors. Long finish, quite exceptionnal for a Bourgogne Rouge. Very aromatic, with perfume aromas and cherry flavors.
The Mercurey "Les Vaux" from Domaine Philippe Milan is a red wine from the renowned Côte Chalonnaise appellation in Burgundy.

The wine is produced from vines planted in the commune of Chassey le Camp at high elevation, which brings freshness to this Chardonnay. Ripe fruit is nicely balanced with delicate notes of oak and a hint of citrus on the finish. Full flavored and complex.

This wine has been aged in Oak (25% new Oak)
This is a little more structured and the style goes more toward the
"vin de garde", or wines meant to age. This wine needs some food, or sometime
in the decanter right now. It is well structured and reminds me of a Volnay. As
a matter of fact, the parcel is located right next to Volnay. The finish is
long and still quite juicy with chewy tannins lingering.
Product Description
This is very Burgundian in style, with fruity, rich and strong flavors. This reminds me of a Marsannay Rouge, Elegant and strong at the same time, with some oak flavors, quite well integrated.

Domaine Philippe Milan et Fils
Domaine Philippe Milan et Fils is located in the hamlet of Valotte in Chassey-Le-Camp (20 kms NW of Chalon-sur-Saone).
90% of the production is sold in France, while export only represent 10%.
The Estate was Founded in the 1950's by Karl's Grand Father.
Karl Milan is the owner and winemaker. He took over the family Estate and his first vintage was 2001.
The vineyards are located between Chalon-sur-Saône and Beaune.
They currently own 11 hectares (27 acres) and work in the following AOC:
• Bourgogne Aligoté - 2.6 hectares (100% sold to the Domestic market)
• Cote Chalonnaise
• Rully and Rully Premier Cru
• Mercurey and Mercurey Premier Cru
• Maranges Premier Cru
• Santenay Premier Cru
• Pommard
This Estate produce between 500 and 600 hectoliters (depending on the harvest) and the breakdown is as follow: 50% red wines and 50% white wines.

Lismore Pinot Noir is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir
Complex bouquet of crushed rose petals, wild jasmine and fresh French herbs followed by a palate full of cranberry, raspberry and a long savory finish.
The grapes were picked at optimal ripeness. 30% whole bunch fermented in large 5000 liter vats with gentle pump-overs twice a day. The process allowed for a long extraction period which lends to the fruit expression and structure of this wine. The free run wine was drained off and the fermented grapes were then pressed in a traditional wooden basket press. The wine was racked into 225, 300 and 500 liter barrels where malolactic fermentation took place and the wine was aged for 10 months. 35% new French oak was used.

"The 2018 Pinot Noir comes from Walker Bay and Kaaimansgat and includes 30% whole-bunch fruit, aged for 11 months in 25% new oak. The bouquet sports vivid red cherry and raspberry fruit that is exceptionally well defined and beautifully integrated with the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, well-judged acidity and a slightly fleshy texture. There is just the right amount of salinity here, and the finish is kept on a tight leash, allowing the detail and precision to be fully expressed. "Walker Bay and Elandskloof are the twin sources of 30% whole bunch-fermented Pinot from Sam O'Keefe. Juicy, floral and charming, it's a graceful, fruit forward style with some clove and tobacco spice and refreshing acidity. Chavy-Chouet Maranges Blanc Les Meurees is made from 100 percent Chardonnay.
Domaine Chavy-Chouet is a well-regarded Meursault house, estate-bottling since 1982 and today in the hands of Romaric Chavy, whose whites have a devoted following and reach the United States only in small quantities. Maranges, at the southern tip of the Cote de Beaune, is one of Burgundy's last great-value white appellations, and Les Meurees is a single limestone plot the domaine farms organically from vines around thirty years old.
Raised fifteen months in French oak with a fifth new, it is pure Chavy in style: ripe orchard fruit and hawthorn lifted by acacia honey, with a bright, mineral, lime-blossom finish. White Burgundy that drinks well above its price.
