Avennia Oliane Sauvignon Blanc is made from 100 percent Sauvignon Blanc.
We believe Washington State can make Sauvignon Blanc that competes with any in the world. Oliane is barrel fermented in French oak using native yeast and aged on the lees for 7 months. It is bottled unfined to allow for greatest expression and complexity.
A well balanced and elegantly refreshing old world style Sauvignon Blanc.
“Leads with ripe aromas of grapefruit, Meyer lemon, peach, honey, and spring flowers. The palate is quite rich and palate coating, with stone fruits, citrus pith, crushed seashell, and sweet floral elements. A streak of minerally acidity keeps the wine focused and quenching through the finish.” - Chris Peterson, Winemaker

Sauvignon Blanc, historically known for the great white wines of Bordeaux and Sancerre, has increasingly been associated in the “New World” as coming from New Zealand. Our 100% Sauvignon Blanc was produced from grapes grown in the renowned Marlborough region. Marlborough is recognized for growing outstanding Sauvignon Blanc with mouth watering fresh acidity, balanced by intense tropical fruit notes.

"It wasn't easy to make world class Sauvignon Blancs in a vintage like 2018, but Sam O'Keefe managed it with some style. This is an equal blend of grapes from Greyton and Walker Bay with fermentation in concrete eggs and 500-litre wood, showing notes of kelp and rock pools, with stylish gunflint and grapefruit overtones. 2019-25 Cape South Coast (13%)" - Tim Atkin (South Africa 2019 Special Report), 95 pts

The Waterbrook Winery Estate
Waterbrook Winery was founded in 1984 by Eric and Janet Rindal and is located in Washington State's lovely Walla Walla Valley. This name was chosen to complement the translation from Nez Perce Indian dialect for the name Walla Walla, meaning "running water". Production has slowly increased to a total of 30,000 cases annually.
“Nearly definitive Washington State winery; top choice for genuinely expressive wines of moderate prices.” - Anthony Dias' blue pocket guide to wine 2006
The Waterbrook Winery Vineyards
The region is characterized by dry, arid conditions with long daylight hours and cool nights, which allow the grapes to ripen at a slow, even pace. The Walla Walla Valley is slightly cooler and wetter. The regions must all rely completely on irrigation throughout the season as rainfall averages only 8 to 11 inches annually. Grapes are purchased from some of Columbia Valley's finest and oldest vineyards. Since exceptional wines can only be made from exceptional fruit, close contact with growers is maintained throughout the year.
- Red Mountains, Yakima Valley: The area's southwestern slope has produced some of the most coveted grapes in the Columbia Valley and sealed its reputation as one of the top sights for superlative fruit in Washington State. The unique combination of topography, soil, altitude and microclimate produce the perfect environment for red wine grapes.
- Waterbrook Vineyard, Walla Walla Valley: Planted in the spring of 1998 this twelve acre chardonnay vineyard is in the heart of the Walla Walla Valley. The vineyard's growth is consistent and uniform but not overly vegitative, showing great potential in the years ahead. It's first harvest is successful with low tonage and exceptional flavored fruit.
Philippe Milan Pommard AOC is 100% Pinot Noir
This wine has been aged in Oak (25% new Oak)
This is a little more structured and the style goes more toward the "vin de garde", or wines meant to age. This wine needs some food, or sometime in the decanter right now. It is well structured and reminds me of a Volnay. As a matter of fact, the parcel is located right next to Volnay. The finish is long and still quite juicy with chewy tannins lingering.
My Favorite Neighbor Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petite Sirah, 8% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec, 2% Cabernet Franc and 2% Syrah .
What started as an homage to Stephan Asseo of L'Aventure Winery and his Bordeaux roots quickly became an obsession. Stretching wide across the Westside Hills of Paso Robles is clay soil amazingly similar to those found in Napa and Bordeaux. Today, these special sites are farmed meticulously by the farmers who have become My Favorite Neighbors. With their dedication to the land, we are able to craft a world class wine without any shortcuts or compromises. Welcome to the Neighborhood.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is similarly deep purple/ruby-hued and has slightly more red fruits with lots of black raspberry, cassis, toasted spice, unsmoked tobacco, and incense aromas and flavors. It almost has a Margaux-like perfume and is medium to full-bodied, seamless, and wonderfully balanced on the palate. Some chalky minerality comes through with time in the glass, and it has plenty of tannins and a great finish. It’s not an over-the-top blockbuster and impresses just as much for its elegance as its richness. -Jeb Dunnuck 96 Points
