Bressia Profundo 2015

Bressia Profundo is made from 50% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 10% Syrah

Profundo began during the era of “assemblages” in Argentina; wines from various grapes combined in different proportions, achieving a singular, complete wine with great definition.

The Malbec, the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Syrah come from Lujan de Cuyo vineyards 3,100 feet above sea level. Planted 6,500 plants per hectare.

Intense red color with purple tones. Delicate strawberry, blackberry aromas intertwined with chocolate, tobacco, dulce de leche and vanilla nuances. Harmonious and elegant in the mouth with a long finish.

Review:

"Bright medium ruby-red. Vinous, high-pitched scents of crushed blackberry, violet and minerals. Dense, fine-grained and suave, with its dark berry and saline mineral flavors energized by an element of herbal lift. There's a wildness here that contributes complexity and personality. This sexy Bordeaux-style blend finishes with firm but suave tannins and excellent length. - Stephen Tanzer"

Bressia Conjuro 2014

Bressia Conjuro 50% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Merlot

Aged in 70% French oak (Taransaud, Mistral, and Radoux), and 30% American oak.

This wine is a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the Tupungato Valley, Mendoza, at 1,100 meters above sea level.
Its elegant, expressive aromas prepare us to drink a full-bodied, broad wine, very elegant and with a long, unctuous finish that leaves us with a seductive, pleasurable sensation. This wine comes from high quality grapes grown in the Uco Valley and was aged for 18 months in new French and American oak barrels, then in bottle for 24 months

"Sourced from a single vineyard in Gualtallary, Conjuro is a cuvée of Malbec with 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot that spends 18 months in new French and American oak. It’s a stylish, intense, spicy wine with deftly handled oak and layers of red cherry and blueberry fruit. 2019-26"

Bressia Lagrima Canela 2017

Bressia Lagrima Canela is made from 70 % Chardonnay, 30 % Semillon

Barrel fermented for 14 months in new French and American oak

Lagrima Canela means 'cinnamon tears'. This white blend shows an intense greenish-yellow wine with luminous golden highlights. It has fresh, elegant floral aromas, lent to it by its grape varieties, as well as melon, pear and toasty oak. Medium bodied with a creamy texture and outstanding depth and concentration.

Light gold colored with a perfume of candle wax, pear, melon, and toasty oak, on the palate the wine is medium-bodied with well-integrated oak, dry flavors, a creamy texture, and outstanding depth and concentration.

"Always among the best white blends in Argentina, this cuvée of Chardonnay with 30% Semillon is lightly oaked with some malolactic fermentation for added texture. Stone fruit and herbal flavours flow across the tongue, with some baking spices and a soft, caressing finish. 2018-21."

Bressia Monteagrelo Cabernet Franc 2016

Monteagrelo Cabernet Franc has beautiful ruby red with purple highlights.
It displays aromas of ripe red berries with a nice wood smoke complexity, thanks to the aging in French oak barrels. The wine has a very good structure, but the tannins are still quite round and integrated.

Aged in French and American oak barrels for 15 months. No filtration and no fining.

The finish is very long and will allow the wine to be consumed with food, such as grilled meat or cheese.

Review:

"The pick of the Monteagrelo wines, at least for me, in 2016, this comes from Vista Flores and is a beautifully judged expression of a variety that has found a home in the Uco Valley. Leafy, fine and refreshing, with black cherry and graphite notes. 2019-26"

- Tim Atkin (Argentina Special Report 2018), 93 pts

"The Cabernet Franc that Bressia acquires in Vista Flores comes from a 15 year old vineyard (same one as the Syrah) planted on the area’s alluvial soils with a high percentage of sand. But 2016, one of the coldest ever in Mendoza, molded the fruit in a very different way, highlighting more herbal notes. For those unfriendly to herbal flavors, they may be excessive, but we like that there here at “Descorchados”, mainly because they’re accompanied with heaps of red fruit in a lightish body with crisp acidity."

Bressia Profundo is made from 50% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 10% Syrah

Intense red color with purple tones. Delicate strawberry, blackberry aromas intertwined with chocolate, tobacco, dulce de leche and vanilla nuances. Harmonious and elegant in the mouth, and a long finish.

Review:

"Profundo was the first wine that Walter Bressia made at his own winery and it’s still one of his best. Combining Malbec with 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% each of Merlot and Syrah, it’s plush and intense with classic Agrelo texture framed by sweet oak and underpinned by acidity. 2019-26"

- Tim Atkin (Argentina Special Report 2018), 93 pts

"The oaky, spicy and smoky 2014 Profundo, a red blend of Malbec with 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% each Merlot and Syrah, was first produced in 2001, and it has kept a classical profile, perhaps with a little less influence of the élevage (12 months in oak barrels). The fruit is ripe and comes through as very tasty. 15,000 bottles produced. It as bottled in February 2017. - Luis Gutiérrez"

Keermont White Blend Terrasse 2016

Keermont White Blend is made from 39% Chenin Blanc (34% Riverside parcel - 26% Low Road Parcel and 5% Bobbejaan parcel), 34% Sauvignon Blanc (Uitkyk parcel), 14% Viognier (Cottage Lane parcel) and 13% Chardonnay (Low Road Parcel).

A polished light yellow gold color, this wine has a bouquet of citrus blossom with hazelnut, lemon grass and butterscotch undertones. The wine has a soft sweet entry with a racy linear acidity. Ripe citrus and stone fruit flavours evolve into a lovely lingering dry earthy finish. This is a textured white wine with layers of flavour.

"The 2016 Keermont Terrasse underwent a little skin contact and was barrel-fermented in 225- and 500-liter barrels with around 10% new oak for 12 months. It has a fresh bouquet of white peach, honeysuckle and a touch of melted candle wax. The palate is well balanced, considering that Alex Starey said it was the first vintage that endured drought problems (hence the higher percentage of Sauvignon Blanc), offering grass clipping, gooseberry and nettle toward the finish. Very fine. - Neal Martin"

- Vinous (August 28th 2018), 90 pts

"Always a crowd pleaser, the Terrasse shows very appealing white stone fruit, lemon curd and floral scents. Softly textured with good backbone and firm acidity complementing riper stone fruit and citrus flavors. A blend of 39% Chenin Blanc, 34% Sauvignon blanc, 14% Viognier and 13% Chardonnay fermented and aged in used 500L barrels for 12 months. Lees stirred only during fermentation then left to sit on the lees.13% alc."
