Product Description

The Cordero di Montezemolo Barolo Enrico VI is a deep red garnet in color. Delicately spiced bouquet with notes of eucalyptus, licorice and menthol, and mature fruit on the palate invoking liqueur soaked cherries, blackberries and prunes with hints of violets and medicinal herbs. Powerful on the palate with a lasting finish.

Review:

The rose flower, violet, dark berry and cedar aromas are impressive on the nose. Full-bodied with chewy tannins that are powerful and muscular. Excellent length. Classic Barolo that needs at least four or five years to soften. From organically grown grapes. Try after 2027.

Boroli Barolo Villero 2019

Villero is undoubtedly one of the most important vineyards in Castiglione Falletto in terms of quality and exposure.

The soil is clayey and calcareous, with a south and southwest exposure. The combination of exposure and soil give us a structured and powerful Barolo, with a deep aromatic profile. The tannins are smooth and soft, thanks to long maceration.

Barolo Villero is a long-lasting wine, capable of reaching its full potential even many years after the harvest.

Wine Production

Villero is distinguished by a careful selection of grapes, perfect destemming, long macerations with submerged cap.

Tasting Notes

Clear bright ruby colour with very light garnet red reflections; intense and persistent aroma of red fruit with notes of plum and cherry. A pleasant aroma of wood is noticeable after the fruity aroma, anticipating the full taste of a great wine suitable for long lasting life. A succulent, rich, full-bodied and pleasant taste emerges after the woody one, with the presence of slightly ripe red fruit

Food Pairing

Thanks to its viscosity and body, Barolo is the ideal wine to combine with elaborate dishes such as truffle dishes, meat dishes, pasta with porcini mushrooms, game, and aged cheeses. Villero is also perfect with dry pastries or chocolate.

Review:

This Villero shows sterness and class at the same time. The nose is focused on cherrystone aromas, Parma violets, pomegranates and slightly earthy notes. The attack is dry and austere, with firm, dusty tannins soaked in licorice and tar, enhanced by a bright, juicy and polished blood-orange finish. This is a Barolo to discover over the years, even though it’s ready to drink now.

Lodovico Barolo di Barolo 2019

Lodovico Barolo di Barolo  is made from 100% Nebbiolo.

Vinsacro Dioro Rioja 2019

Dark ruby color. Aromas of cherry, currant, vanilla bean and hint of tar. Full-bodied, with flavors of cherries, cocoa powder and oak. A touch of sweetness on entry with a little bit of air with soft tannins that are starting to integrate well.

The latest step in the project is Vinsacro (formerly Valsacro) Dioro. The earlier Valsacros were made from a field selection of the older vineyards. Now, thanks to the new facility Amador has been able to build an upmarket version of Vinsacro (formerly Valsacro) with a four-stage selection process that includes an initial field selection of the fruit followed by a second table selection as the grapes come into the winery. After fermentation wine from selected tanks is transferred to new French oak barrels for 12-14 months of barrel age. Finally, the best barrels are set aside for Dioro and the remainder used to "upgrade" the normal Vinsacro.

Vinsacro Dioro is a blend of grapes from 100+ year old "vidau" vineyards where many varieties were planted together in the same plot.

Today the grapes are harvested and vinified separately. The final blend depends on the vintage but typically it's Tempranillo (50%), Garnacha (20%) and remaining 30% is a mix of mainly Graciano (10%) & Mazuelo (10%) with a little of Monastrell (5%) & Bobal (5%).

 Review:

"The 2019 Vinsacro Dioro is a Vidau field blend, incorporating a mix of grapes such as Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Monastrell and Bobal, sourced from Monte Yerga in Rioja Oriental. Aged for up to 17 months in oak barrels and cellared for five years before release, this dark garnet wine presents a nose with notes of soy sauce, wild herbs, blackberry and sour cherry. On the palate, it is dry, juicy and fine-grained, lingering long with a flavorful finish. Well-served by the aging process, this wild yet balanced wine will evolve with grace. - Joaquin HIDALGO"

A wine to enjoy.Vinsacro Dioro, a wine inspired by the Egyptian, Greek and Roman cultures that worshipped wine and gave it a sacred meaning associated with joy and festivity. It is the fruit of our best vineyards, living witnesses to the work and passion of the four generations that preceded us.

Proud of our past, in love with our present and thrilled about the future.
Intense cherry red color. Very expressive on the nose with aromas of good ripeness, balsamic nuances, mineral notes and a very elegant vanilla background. Tasty and full-bodied on the palate, ripe and rounded tannins with a complex and pleasant finish that invites you to order another glass.

Pair with Roast lamb or pork, game, beef steaks, stewed meats. During the aperitive, it will accompany as well with aged and blue cheese.

14% Vol.

Grapes selected manually from our vineyards located on the southern slopes of Monte Yerga in the “Cuesta la Reina” estate. Grapes that are harvested with the utmost care, transported at low temperature in fruit boxes to the winery to avoid any damage to the fruit.

"The 2019 Vinsacro Dioro Selección is a Vidau field blend sourced from Monte Yerga in Rioja Oriental. Aged for 18 months in French and Eastern European oak barrels, it is only released after five years in the cellar. Dark garnet in color, time in the glass reveals soy sauce, bay leaf and thyme notes, along with black fruit and chutney-like undertones. Dry and rich on the palate, it flows with softened tannins and a clingy mouthfeel, lingering long with an impression of tomato leaf. This is a complex, nuanced and solar red that will warmly captivate your palate. - Joaquin HIDALGO"

Cardinale Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Cardinale Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot.

Super structured and with minerality to spare, this Cabernet Sauvignon offers a real presence on the palate from start to finish. Generous notes of dark chocolate balance beautifully with a blue and black fruit flavor explosion, finishing with a subtle whisper of rose petal.

Reviews:

So much crushed lead pencil, tile and dried flowers, together with blackberries and brambleberries. Full-bodied with round, polished tannins. Layered and so delicious. Black olives and graphite at the end. This potpourri of Napa cabernet character takes your palate on a tour of so many of the regions, including all the mountains, such as Howell, Veeder and Spring Mountain, as well as Atlas Peak, Stags Leap, Yountville and St. Helena. Precision and polish to the wine. Drinkable now, but better to hold.

Full-bodied and powerful on the palate, it has a deep, rich mid-palate, beautiful tannins, notable acidity, and a great, great finish. Stony Hill Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain District 2019

From the volcanic soils in the blocks residing at the summit of Stony Hill's vineyard, their 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is showing beautifully. 2019 was a warm year with late spring rains and a true, dry fall finish. e late spring rains imbued wines with a characteristic freshness and tension, balanced by a generous fruit profile. Bing cherry, cassis, pomegranate seed, singed bay leaf, and cacao sings from the glass.
