Hugl Zweigelt Secco Rose is made from 100% Zweigelt
Despite its relative youth, Zweigelt is actually an Austrian classic. This variety was created in 1922, when Dr. Fritz Zweigelt crossed two grapes - St Laurent and Blaufränkisch. Originally, it was intended for the new variety to be called Rotburger, referring to the place where it was born, Klosterneuburg. But this name never took hold, and instead, Zweigelt was named after the man who was the key in its development.
Today, Zweigelt is the most widely planted red variety in Austria, growing in nearly 9% of this country's vineyards. It is a robust grape, highly resistant to dryness, frost and various diseases.
Lively, fruity bouquet of strawberry, cherry and floral aromas. Refreshing and beautifully balanced, this is a great wine to enjoy as an aperitif. This is a Secco for the whole day and the whole night
The wine is made of 100% Zweigelt grapes of 15-35 years old (25 years old in avarage).
The soil is mainly loam and loess.
It is made using the Charmat method and the wine is aged for 3 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks.
The wine is slightly filtered before bottling.
Drink by itself as an aperitif, it is also a great picnic or brunch wine and will be a good pick to celebrate any occasion.
Roland Champion Champagne Brut Rose Grand Cru NV is the blend of 33% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Meunier and 33% Pinot Noir.
The Champagne rose shows an orange salmon color coming from the red wine base. The pinot meunier brings red fruit aromas of strawberry and raspberry with hints of spices. The palate is juicy and harmonious with good depth and minerality. A delicate balance between Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir.
It is a blend of 93% White juice (made from 33% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Meunier and 33% Pinot Noir) and 7% Pinot Noir red wine. The grapes used to produce the Coteaux Champenois red wine are coming from their vineyards near the Village of Verneuil.

Brilliant pink colored wine with orange reflections; delicate floral and fruity aromas. Elegant and rounded palate, fresh and well-balanced with ripe pear and bread crust flavors.
Excellent on its own as an aperitif, or enjoy it throughout the meal with fish, soups, vegetables. Best served at a temperature of 8-10 °C

Overview
The Giorgio Zaglia Winery produces quality wines in Friuli, in the far north-east Italy, in Friuli D.O.C. wines area, where the existence of a consolidated winemaking tradition is unquestionable. The Estate, stretching across a surface of about 30 hectares, is situated in the municipalities of Precenicco and Pocenia, in the south-east of the province of Udine between the Stella and Tagliamento rivers, where the clayey soil, rich in the mineral salt, and the near Adriatic Sea, producing warm and salty air currents, create an extraordinary micro-climate which is ideal for wine growing.
History

Winery Philosophy: The wines are grown according to low environmental impact standards, the grapes are picked strictly by hand and vinification, based on refined physical techniques rather than chemical, is implemented in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature. Eventually, fining and ageing both in steel and barrique give birth to a series of balanced white and red classic wines from Friuli, with appreciated genuine and noble features.
Established by Aldo Zaglia in 1970, the winery was taken over by his son Giorgio in the first half of the Eighties. After taking a degree in Agricultural Sciences, he brought in some remarkable changes both in the vineyards and the cellar, getting together old tradition with news technologies. Respect for the environment and constant quality research are the main principles which have been leading Giorgio Zaglia since then. In 1995 he started replanting the vineyards, increasing planting density per hectare, adopting short pruning and shrewd thinning and the most updates and accurate methods needed to obtain wines that enhance the characteristics of the territory where they originate.
