Mas des Capitelles Faugeres Vieilles Vignes  is made from 50% Mourvedre, 25% Carignan and 25% Syrah

Deep inky color in the glass. Aromas of raspberry, cherry and hints of vanilla round out the nose. Medium to full-bodied and very well structured with ripe chewy tannins. Flavors of peppery humus, cherry and hints of leather flow towards a lengthy & spicy finish.

Mas des Capitelles is a small family-owned Estate in the village of Faugères, located in the South-West of France. It is certified Organic and biodynamic. The Lauge's family is the current owner with 2 generation working together.

The Mas des Capitelles  Vineyard
24 hectares (60 acres) of vineyard. Everything is planted on Schiste soils and manual harvested.

Chateau de Mus Languedoc Rouge La Source 2015

Chateau de Mus Languedoc Rouge La Source is made from  40% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre.

This wine has a nice dark ruby color, with aromas of red fruits and some florals and spicy notes. The tannins are soft and juicy, giving the wine a great richness and complexity.

Chateau de Mus Languedoc Rouge La Source is made from grapes coming from several parcel planted 15 years ago on gravel soil, similar to the terroir found in the Graves. 

In order to achieve perfect ripeness, harvest were conducted quite late in the season as the producer is looking for a nice concentration of aromas and sugar. Then, the vinification was traditional, meaning the fermentation was done in concrete tank followed by a long ageing process, during 8-10 months, in stainless steel tanks.

Will be a great companion to grilled meat, grilled vegetables and cheese.

Dark Purple, ripe blackberry and mulberry aromas are complemented by smoky herb, anise and fresh violet. Deep, sweet dark berry liqueur flavours show a smooth texture and a long snappy finish. Lots of ripeness and great balance.

The 2015 Gigondas (95% Grenache and 5% Mourvèdre) is a more medium-bodied, pretty wine that has an approachable feel in its ripe plum and blueberry fruits, violets and peppery herb aromas and flavors. Dark in the glass.  A powerful nose of blackberry evokes the garrigue and  spices aromas. Rounded with a silky texture. Ripe and extracted, with  soft vanilla nuances are carried by a good length. A good combination of power, elegance and finesse.

Alain Jaume Domaine du Clos de Sixte Lirac 2015

Alain Jaume Domaine du Clos de Sixte Lirac  is made from 50% Grenache, 35% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre

An intense red garnet color. On the nose, aromas of red and black ripe fruit (kirsch and wild blackberry). The mouth is full, with aromas of blackcurrant liqueur and spice. Tannins are both harmonious and elegant thanks to the fleshiness of the wine. Hints of licorice and vanilla on the finish, which gives the wine length and complexity.

Soil type LIRAC vineyard is facing Chateauneuf du Pape, opposite side of the Rhône river. As showed by the picture and following geologist George Truc, soils are almost similar in both side. They are marked by the violence wrought by the Rhone river. It consists of a layer of marine molasses of the Miocene period covered by alpine alluvium. The presence of a great number of rounded stones known as "galets" in the earth is evidence of the time when the Rhone, then a torrent, tore fragments of rock from the Alps and deposited them on the plain. LIRAC is one of the up-coming best area from the southern Rhône valley, as it delivers outstanding wines. Winemaking & ageing Traditional wine-making in stainless still vats. Hand sorted bunches, crushed and destemmed grapes. Fermentation temperature : 30°C. 18 days of vatting with pigeages.

"The 2015 Lirac Clos de Sixte comes from an appellation that shares a similar terroir with Chateauneuf du Pape, yet is located just across the river, on the western side of the Rhone. It’s a serious, large scaled, voluptuous effort that that has lots of ripe tannin, a bid mid-palate and copious amounts of blackberries, black cherries, scorched earth, licorice and roasted herbs. Ilaria Accordini Ripasso Valpolicella 2016

Ilaria Accordini Ripasso  is made from 60% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, 20% Corvinoni

Intense red color with garnet hints. Almond and fresh walnut aromas. Full-bodied with a good structure.
This is an excellent red wine with a supple body. The techniques used to produce this wine is typical from the area.

Late harvest style Corvina aged on Amarone lees. The must of Amarone remains in the vat and instead of being pressed, it is topped up with high quality Valpolicella before being left to referment for about 10-15 days.
Pairs well with roasted meats.
