Review:

"This estate continues to make an outstanding rosé and their 2019 Bandol Rose is no exception. Light pink, slightly salmon color, it has a great bouquet of nectarines, white peach, and salty, rocky mineral-like notes. Beautiful on the palate, medium-bodied, clean, crisp, and dry, it’s ideal for summer drinking!"

"Biodynamically grown grapes have gone into this crisply fruity wine with its high percentage of perfumed Mourvèdre. The zesty red-currant edge is attractive with the weight that comes from the alcohol. Drink the wine from late 2020. - ROGER VOSS" - Wine Enthusiast (July 2020), 90 pts

Mas Sinen Coster Reserve Priorat 2014

Mas Sinen Coster Reserve Priorat is made from 50% Grenache and 50% Carignan.

he Priorat DO was created in 1954. But it is only in the 1990 that the quality of the wines were able to compete internationally. It is now a DOCa (The highest qualification level for a wine region according to Spanish wine regulations, alongside Rioja DOCa). Total acreage for the entire appellation is 4,400 acres. Intense red cherry color with garnet reflections. Black fruit, compote fruits, hints of balsamic. The mouth is ripe and intense, fresh and powerful. Strong and flavorful.

50 year old vines planted on Llicorella soil (decomposed black and reddish Slate, mixed with Mica and Quartz). Light filtration.

Review:

"The ambitious and oaky 2014 Mas Sinén Coster is Garnacha and Cariñena from sloped vineyards that yield no more than 500 grams of grapes per plant. It fermented in stainless steel for 14 days followed by 18 days of maceration, and it matured in new French oak barrels for 12 months. The oak is still pretty obvious; the fruit has good ripeness, and the mouthfeel shows balance, perhaps a little too much oak for the fruit. Give it a little more time in bottle. 1,600 bottles were filled in July 2016. - Luis Gutierrez"

Heritage School Julies Creekside Cabernet Sauvingon 2014

Heritage School Julies Creekside Cabernet Sauvingon is made from 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Cabernet Sauvignon Julie’s Creekside Vineyard is an impressive, opaque purple colored wine that is super-concentrated and extracted with relatively sweet tannins, a touch of chocolate and espresso, a full-bodied mouthfeel and pure, dark, primordial fruits. This is a big, masculine, concentrated wine set for long-term aging. Saying that, it has a certain accessibility, but won’t hit its prime for at least another 8-10 years and keep 25-30.

Review:

"The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Julie's Creekside Vineyard is dark, sumptuous and surprisingly open-knit for such a young wine. Black cherry, plum, game, rose petal, sage, smoke and earthy notes underpin a core of intense dark red cherry and plum fruit. Soft contours and generous, super-ripe fruit add to the wine's near and medium-term appeal. - Antonio Galloni"

Domaine de la Bégude

Domaine de La Begude was founded in 1996 by Guillaume and Louis Tari who continue an old family wine tradition (Chateau Giscours, 3rd Cru, Margaux). They are devoted to elaborating wines that express the characteristics of the Bandol terroir. The ageing cellars are the ancient Merovingian chapel of the 7th century from the "Conil" seigneury. This village has since disappeared, but it is mentioned as early as 966 in Saint Victor's maps. The estate produced some wine in the 16th century, and some ancient vinification tanks have been discovered there.

The Domaine de la Bégude Vineyard
The vineyard is situated at the top of the Bandol appellation (400 meters), overlooking the Mediterranean sea. The estate measures 1,240 acres of which 37 acres are in vines (15 hectares).  The vines are cultivated on terraces facing south. The terraces are divided because of the very uneven relief of the wooded massif on which lies the estate. Olive trees surround most of the vine plots and take part in perfecting a typical landscape of the Bandol area.
The grape percentages are: 65% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache,10% Cinsault, and the vines average 20 years of age. Grapes are hand harvested and totally de-stemmed before 3 – 4 weeks of fermentation on the skins.  Egg white fining finishes the winemaking process before bottling.  Production in total is 2,500 – 3,000 cases annually.  This property makes clean and focused Bandol, as opposed to the rustic style so commonly seen from this A.O.C.
The Tari family also produces a Cotes de Provence (Rose and Red) made from grapes grown in the heart of the Provencal oak forest, dominating the Maures Mountains.
