Product Description

Bright pale yellow color filled with golden and apricot reflections.

Seductive bouquet rich in orange blossoms, peaches and apricots intertwined with hints of tropical fruits and honey.
Ligthly frizzante due to the naturally retained CO2with sweet soft velvety fruit on the palate and a refreshingly dry and lingering finish. This is a unique wine of extraordinary delicacy and finesse.

The other "Bug Juice"!

Robert Parker says "this tropical fruit bomb of an aperitif wine defines the words 'seduction' and 'delicious'."

The grapes are soft pressed and the free run juice is placed in stainless steel tanks where it is allowed to settle (sedimentation) and then passed through a centrifuge. The fined must is then passed through a filter of diatomaceous earth and placed in autoclaves of stainless steel. Specially selected yeast are added and fermentation is controlled at 17 degrees. There is no malolactic fermentation and the wine is held in the tanks at 0 degree. At the time of bottling the temperature is raised again to 17 degrees, and when the ideal balance between sugar and acidity is reached and the desired atmospheric pressure is obtained, 2 atmospheres of pressure (usually 2 weeks), the wine is cooled to block further fermentation and again filtered. It is then bottled. Only 5.5% of alcohol.

Brunch wine excellent with ice cream, fruits, salads.

Review:

"It’s tempting to see something of a California style in this wine because of the origins of its winemaker, Sam O’Keefe. It’s a rich, honeyed, peachy style with impressive concentration, savoury oak and enough acidity to keep the wine fresh and focused on the palate. Drink: 2016-19"

"A successful modern style that is lees-rich yet refreshingly mineral. Beeswax and acacia tones alongside wet chalk and river stone characters blended with cool-climate limey acidity. Drink: 2017-21"

Finca Sobreno Ildefonso Toro 2011

Finca Sobreno Ildefonso Toro  is made from 100% Tinta de Toro
Very Old Vines (Minimum 80 years of age)
Aged in 100% new French Oak Barrels for 18 months + 12 months in the bottle

The Harvest: This year we had low rain falls getting very healthy bunches. Besides, cool nights and not very hot days at the end of the cycle were excellent for a complete ripening of the grapes, full of nuances.
Vinification: The fruit is manually selected and picked in small cases. After destemming the grapes are stored in 2.000 liter open fermenter tanks and cold maceration at 8ºC during 8 days. Three times a day the cap of the skins is submerged manually (pigeage) and after the alcoholic fermentation is finished at a controlled temperature, the wine is macerated until the wine maker determines the appropriate extraction polyphenols. The malolactic fermentation is carried out in new French oak barrels
Ageing: It takes place in the same barrels for 18 months racking every 6 months.

(made from vines that are over 80 years old; aged in all new French oak for 18 months):  Inky purple.  An intensely perfumed bouquet evokes candied dark berries, woodsmoke, incense and violet pastille.  Stains the palate with concentrated, almost shockingly vivacious black and blue fruit flavors.  Smooth, sweet and expansive on the clinging, energetic finish.-Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar 93 Points

TASTING NOTES
Color: Deep cherry color
Nose: Very expressive, elegant and complex with ripe fruit, mineral notes, sweet spices, chocolate aromas and intense toasts.
Taste: Powerful, tasty, round and very smooth. We find again black berries, mineral notes, chocolates with roasted aromas. Very long after taste.
Food Pairing: Ideal for red meats, lamb, roasted meat and strong cheeses

Review:
"(from vines that are reportedly more than 80 years old and raised in new French oak barrels for 18 months) Brilliant ruby. Fresh black and blue fruits, incense and candied violet on the highly perfumed nose. Fleshy, seamless and broad on the palate, offering energetic blueberry and cherry-vanilla flavors and an exotic touch of Asian spices. The blue fruit quality carries strongly through the finish, which hangs on with excellent tenacity and harmonious tannins. - Josh Raynolds"

Settling in steel vats to have a natural clearing of musts. Further temperature and pressure controlled fermentation.

Sensorial Description: this wine, with light rosé color, strikes for its scent of spices and fruits. Its acid freshness suits its sweetness and offers a well balanced wine.
Serving Suggestions: aperitif wine, fruit cakes, fruit salad.Wine for brunch or poolside. To best appreciate this wine serve it fresh.

"Rinaldi made a 2011 "Bug Juice" Pink from 90% Moscato d’Asti and 10% Brachetto d’Acqui. This is an addictive, light pink-colored, frothy rose that is quite low in alcohol, with deliciously sweet strawberry and cherry notes intermixed with hints of peach and apricot. Just stunning, there is much less of it available (800 cases). I can imagine that if you’re sitting by the pool on a hot summer day, this wine would be the perfect accompaniment."

Rinaldi Red Dream NV

Rinaldi Red Dream is made from 100% Malvasia

this wine is obtained with  a cold maceration (13° C) for 48 hours. We work in this way just to extract the color and the wine scent from the peels.
Then we soft press the grapes and we separate the solid part from the liquid part and we have the juice.
Then we keep the wine at 0 degree Celcius (32 degrees Fahrenheit) temperature and we have a natural cleaning of the must.
When we decide to bottle it the temperature increased at about 17 degrees Celcius, and when we reach 5.5% Alcohol by Volume and the desired atmospheric pressure is obtained, about  2 atmospheres, we block the fermentation with the cold and we filter it again and
finally, we put it in bottle.
The wine is ruby red but not too deep, fruity and pleasant. It's a dessert wine, it is possible to appreciate it at his best if you serve it chilled.

This frothy and fruity red wine delivers flavors of honeysuckle and black pepper. Light, fun and exciting; it’s great for parties and light fare. 100 % Malvasia Nera.

"The non-vintage Rinaldi Red Dream, which comes from 100% Malvasia Nera, has about 7% alcohol, so it is slightly more potent than its two siblings. Gorgeously fresh and frothy, with loads of cherry, honeysuckle, spice box and spring flowers, this is an exciting party wine that is brilliantly packaged, and I doubt a person can be found who would dislike it. However, these wines are meant to be drunk in their exuberant youth, so this one as well as the following two efforts should be consumed over the next 6-12 months."
- Wine Advocate (Issue 201, June 2012), 90 pts

"This Wine is a bit heavier than a bracchetto, but it shares the sweetness, effervescence and low alcohol that make it a delicious dessert wine. The added weight suggests pairing it with desserts that include ice cream."
