Lionel Métaireau is the winemaker of MAISON ALAIN DE LA TREILLE since 2008. He is native of Le Pallet in the Muscadet Vineyard, close to Nantes. Belonging to the 6th generation of his family domain, Lionel is born in the winemaking world. He joined the MAISON ALAIN DE LA TREILLE in 2008 with the aim of revealing French varietal grapes with a local and unique style.

Vines are located outside the AOC boundaries, hence the wine is classified as Vin de France.

From the best lots on the Golden- eye Estate, this wine aged in French oak for 16 months. Scents of wild cherry and sage are off the charts. Undeniable vibrancy, generous fruit, and floral notes create a mael- strom of flavor and texture that complements the wine's intensely high energy. Manoir du Carra Bistrot Beaujolais-Villages is made from 100 percent Gamay.
From Granitic and sandy soils, the Beaujolais-Villages Carra Bistrot exhibits intense color, with hints of cherry and garnet, and to reveal aromas of red fruit dominated by cassis and strawberry. This Cuvée was specially made for the Parisian Bistrots willing to offer easy drinking wines, with enough body to withstand local Cuisine from the Beaujolais region.
Produced from a selection of old vines (50-70 years old). Manual harvest; selection of the best grapes using a sorting table; semi-carbonic maceration for 10-12 days. No filtration. Egg white fining.
Great with coq au vin (Chicken cooked in a red wine sauce) or charcuterie (garlic sausage, dry sausage).
