Nicolas Potel Domaine de Bellene Beaune Premier Cru Vieilles Vignes Hommage a Francoise Potel is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir.
A blend of five premier cru climats, this homage to Nicolas Potel’s late mother has a lovely and engaging aroma that combines delicate floral nuances with finely structured dark cherry and blueberry fruit. Even some cranberry emerges on the superbly focused mid-palate. A very elegant wine, with fine length.

Domaine de la Janasse Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cuvee Vieilles Vignes is made from 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 5% divers.
In contrast to Chaupin, which is made from old-vine Grenache on sandy soils, the cuvée Vieilles Vignes is from old vines of Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah along with smaller percentages of other permitted varieties that are grown in these old vineyards. The wine is sourced from 4 terroirs: pebbly clay, sand, gravelly red clay and sandy limestone. Vieilles Vignes is always the most powerful and concentrated Châteauneuf-du-Pape cuvée made at Domaine de la Janasse.

The 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape Vieilles Vignes also saw some stems (the estate started keeping some stems with the 2016 vintage) and was 75% destemmed, with the blend being 70% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, and the rest Syrah, Cinsault, and Terret Noir. As usual, it’s a more powerful, black-fruited wine comparted to the Cuvée Chaupin and has lots of crème de cassis, liquid violet, crushed stone, woodsmoke, and peppery herbs. It displays the vintage’s purity and freshness yet brings the concentration as well as the structure. I’ll be shocked if it’s not in the handful of top wines in the vintage.

Domaine La Maionnette Rose Cotes de Provence is made from 60% Syrah, 20% Cinsault and 20% Grenache.
The plots of Domaine de la Maïonnette benefit from a clay-limestone soil and are located on a plateau surrounded by hundred-year-old oaks. Bordered by the Provencal scrubland, the vineyard enjoys a dry climate typical of the region.
An emblematic cuvée of the estate, this Cotes de Provence rosé reveals concentrated aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers, and a beautiful structure. The fresh palate brings out sweet candy notes, gooseberry and litchi, and delivers bright acidity and ample length on the finish.
The Grade Napa Cabernet Sauvignon Winfield Vineyard is made from Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
“This wine expresses a focused balancing act of dark, rich black fruit, and a fine tannin structure, illuminated through the core with a laser-like acidity. The wine displays a deep purple-red hue with a cranberry halo. Aromas of cassis, cinnamon, citrus oil, roasted meat, and lilac swell from the glass.
“The palate is marked by a wave of jet-black brambly fruit up front, followed by an exotic spice mid-palate and a long, complex finish that lasts and lasts expressing notes of flowering jasmine, and oolong tea. The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Winfield Vineyard is an absolutely gorgeous wine that conveys a striking interplay of richness, power and nuance. Silky and restrained for this site, the Winfield offers up a compelling melange of red fruit, iron, cedar, tobacco, rose petal and dried herbs, all in a mid-weight style that is incredibly appealing. The Winfield is a selection taken from Blocks 1, 4 and 5.

Alain Jaume Domaine du Clos de Sixte Lirac is made from 50% Grenache, 35% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre
An intense red garnet color. On the nose, aromas of red and black ripe fruit (kirsch and wild blackberry). The mouth is full, with aromas of blackcurrant liqueur and spice. Tannins are both harmonious and elegant thanks to the fleshiness of the wine. Hints of licorice and vanilla on the finish, which gives the wine length and complexity.
Soil type LIRAC vineyard is facing Chateauneuf du Pape, opposite side of the Rhône river. As showed by the picture and following geologist George Truc, soils are almost similar in both side. They are marked by the violence wrought by the Rhone river. It consists of a layer of marine molasses of the Miocene period covered by alpine alluvium. The presence of a great number of rounded stones known as "galets" in the earth is evidence of the time when the Rhone, then a torrent, tore fragments of rock from the Alps and deposited them on the plain. LIRAC is one of the up-coming best area from the southern Rhône valley, as it delivers outstanding wines. Winemaking & ageing Traditional wine-making in stainless still vats. Hand sorted bunches, crushed and destemmed grapes. Fermentation temperature : 30°C. 18 days of vatting with pigeages.

"Another top-notch vintage for this property, the 2018 Lirac Domaine du Clos de Sixte looks as if it may rival the 2016. It's 50% Grenache, 35% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre, aging in concrete (70%) and barrels (30%). Floral notions mark the nose, while flavors of raspberries and apricots appear on the full-bodied palate. This seems creamy-supple at first, with steadily building tannins on the lengthy finish. - Joe Czerwinski"

Betz Family Domaine de Pierres Syrah is made from 100% Syrah.
With our long history of making single site syrah's in Washington, it made sense for us to venture into the Rocks District of Milton Freewater in the Walla Walla Valley to bring you our newest syrah, "Domaine de Pierres."
The Rocks AVA produces syrah that shows a distinct character, separating it from any other site in Washington State. One thing in particular that has drawn people here is the gallet stones present throughout the valley. They are very similar to the pudding stones that are found in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and can be anywhere from golf ball size, to softball size or larger. Since we purchased the vineyard in 2014 we have been tilling the earth multiple times every season to expose these rocks. The gallet stones act like a heat sink, giving a little extra push to help ripen syrah in an area with marginal heat accumulation.
In the glass, Domaine de Pierres stands out from our other syrah's because of its incredibly savory profile. Notes of roasted meat, fresh herbs, olive tapenade, tobacco and graphite are supported by dark fruit, espresso, and lavendar. The wine has a lower acidity and higher PH than our other wines, which contributes to a velvety, full bodied mouthfeel. Even in the cellar, we immediately noticed a difference in the color, aromatics and flavor that these syrah grapes were able to express.
The other big reason that we are so excited about the wine from this particular AVA, is that the history of the Rocks is happening right now! Our vineyard, “Ancient Stones,” has only been planted there since 2007, and the beginning of the Rocks as a wine growing region only really started in the 1990's. There is a lot of energy and exploration going on, and it has been a fun experience for our team to be a part of it. We still have so much to learn about this region and it is very exciting to feel like we are on the upward swing!

Domaine de Mus Rose is made from 60% Grenache and 40% Cinsault
No oak.
A blend of Grenache and Cinsault. During the fermentation, the different juices are regularly added into the blend as the different varieties are harvested.
A nice rose petal color with mango shades.
On the nose, dominating notes of raspberry, wild peach, and pink pomelo. On the palate, round and refreshing, a delicious acidulous harmony, with notes of pomelo, and a crispy mix of red fruit and citrus notes.
The grape juice is directly selected after picking thanks to a double bottom inside the bins right after picking and directly poured into vats. The juice is poured into the tanks protected with carbonic gas and stabilised at 8° during 24 hours to get the pulp precipitated and clarified. Racking. Fermentation with addition of especially selected yeasts for their aromatic qualities, during 40 days, in stainless steel vats, at a low temperature.
The Chateau de Mus is located in Murviel-Les-Beziers in the Languedoc region.It is home to a gorgeous Renaissance-style castle.
The Julien Family has been working hard in the vineyards, in the cellars, but they also have a restoration project for the chapel and the castle located on the property. Today, Yannick and Brice are representing the 5th generation of winemakers in the Family.
Date Founded: 2004
Dating back at least 800 BC, the Château de Mus represents one of the largest archaeological sites in Hérault, illustrating the prehistoric, Celtic, Roman, Greek and Etruscan ages. The estate was named after an ancient fortified place called « Murus » («city wall» in Latin), built up on a promontory over the Orb river. At MUS, a Romanesque church was built in 1070 (today its restoration is in progress) such as one of the six first castles of the area. Twice destroyed during the crusade against the Cathars in the 13th C. the former mansion was replaced in 1848 by a Renaissance-style castle, prefiguring the great times of the “wine chateaux” in Languedoc.

The vineyard is planted to traditional grape varieties of the Languedoc’s AOP, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, in the estate’s AOP area, and also of a range of different French varieties planted in the Vin de Pays area, mainly Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Pinot Noir, Tannat, Marselan, Muscat, Grenache Gris, Sauvignon blanc, Sauvignon, Vermentino, Viognier.
The winery is modern and the temperature controlled vinification is a huge part of the quality process. Concrete tanks, stainless steel and open top fermenters are used for almost all of their wines

Bastgen Monterosa Satin Noir is made from 90% Satin Noir, 10% Cabernet Jura.
The color is a deep black red. The nose offers spicy aromas, blackberry, balsamic and forest hints. The tannins are pronounced in the beginning, which gives a certain grip to the wine, continuing on full flavors and ending surprisingly soft.
Usually the grapes from this vineyard are exclusively used for Rosé production. The Monterosa was one of Armin's red wine experiments. He is an avid pizza baker and wanted to make a wine that would entertain his guest with a slice of freshly baked Italian style pizza. Said and done, about 2 years later family and friends were indulging on this great combination... The name of the wine is a homage to Armin's love to Italy. Monterosa is the Italian translation of the German vineyard name Rosenberg (hill of roses).
Monterosa is a new "wild red wine" - an experimental cuvee of new fungi-resistant grape varieties from the Jura region to face coming climate changes. The cuvee is produced from 90% Satin Noir (a crossing from Cabernet Sauvignon) and 10% Cabernet Jura.
The vines were planted 10 years ago in the village of Osann, a steep vineyard with red slate soil - this soil is rare in the Mosel region. No chemicals are used in the vineyards.
Pair with Pizza and Italian cuisine.
